My family was a mess last night. Apart from Alessandro and me, Gael also received a package containing something that Father owned. Needless to say, we were all agitated and had a family meeting that lasted until dawn.
Today, I'm supposed to check on the reconstruction of the old mansion that burned down because of the Morellis. None of my family is very keen on rebuilding it, as it holds painful memories since my father's death. However, for me, that place is special. It was where I belonged despite being a child outside of marriage. Sure, I moved out of there when I could, but that was always home to me here in New York. That was always where I'd find Papa.
