As I ran away from an eldritch creature and other monsters, I quickly use my weapon the devastator to attack and kill all incoming monsters in front of me.
???:* I'm quite lucky that my weapon that was passed down from generation to generation has the ability to drain and steal energy, including life, so I can heal with it.*
???: * Although I can heal myself and regain energy with it Eventually my mental state won't be able keep up from the aura of insanity coming from that eldritch being*
Quickly using my awakened power, Ultra perception I quickly dodge the attack of multiple attacks.
[Ultra Perception: Higher Eyesight and Mind. Can see small details that normally cant be noticed and higher reaction speed. Limits: Mental Power, strain on eyes, and energy.]
Noticing an escape route with my ultra perception I swiftly dodged and moved away from a group of monsters and rushed toward it, when suddenly a creature appeared and I dodged it, landing on the ground surrounded by enemies, monsters, and creatures everywhere.
???: * shit, i need to figure out a way to escape quickly*
As I get surrounded by all kinds of creatures, my hope of escaping and surviving gradually disappears when instantly darkness enveloped the area and all the creatures got annihilated.
Not knowing how or what did it, I just stand there frozen in fear, hoping not to get killed.
1, 2, 3, 4, each second that passed my heart beats even faster and faster, being afraid of the unknown I shouted.
???: WHO ARE YOU? WHAT ARE YOU? COME OUT!
Shouting those words I then saw someone coming out of the darkness, which caused my heart to beat even faster and possibly faint out of fear.
Mystery Man: Well hello there, I mean no harm just passing by.
Not knowing who this powerful person is and sensing nothing, I tensed up and spoke a few words.
???: Who are you? Why did you save me?
Mystery Man: Well I am davoth, I saved you while I was passing by. Why don't you tell me what your name is since I told you mine.
The man named Davoth smiled as he spoke, and I then told him my name even if he means no harm, I still don't know his intention but he didnt attack or kill me.
???: My name is Ethan, and I am thankful for your help.
Davoth: Ethan huh, quite an interesting name for you. Do you know any nearby civilization?
Ethan: Yeah I do, I was actually heading to it before getting ambushed by those creatures.
Realizing Davoth wasn't that bad I then told him where and what that place was.
Ethan:The nearest civilization is east and is a very protective place, it is called Ancient holy light city.
Davoth: I'm guessing it's named after it because long ago when the apocalypse began they used light abilities to fend off those creatures and then it became a holy place right?
Ethan: That's correct… how did you know, it doesn't seem like you been or even knew it before i told you.
Davoth: Well it's pretty obvious the name is that because ancient in it was made long ago and its still standing till this day, holy because it became a safe zone for many beings, and finally light since they probably use light ability to fend off those creatures or else it would be an ancient holy city.
Davoth: How long do you think it will take for you to go to that city
Ethan: if my calculation is correct, the way to ancient holy light city will take at least 2 days if we rush there and a week if we decide to travel solely.
Davoth: What do you mean? I said you. Since you have been in the city before you can be my guide.
As davoth spoke, his darkness surrounded the area and then formed into a 3 meter portal, a portal made of darkness and nothing else.
Ethan: What is this? A portal?.
Davoth: yes it's indeed a portal, but made out of darkness. Instead of walking or rushing there, why don't we take a quicker way.
Ethan: I see, so this portal will take us to the city right.
Davoth then walked in the dark portal, and then I also walked in the dark portal when suddenly my vision went black and felt nothing of my surroundings, Like an empty void.
When my vision returned I saw myself near the ancient holy light city, I then asked.
Ethan: That was quick, we got to the city, but how are you going to enter? The city has a high level of security and powerful people who can attack you since you are unknown.
Davoth: You don't have to worry about that, just guide me and tell me what the city is like when we finally get in.
The very moment davoth said that i suddenly couldn't sense his presence and lost him for a few seconds before he appeared in front of me again.
Davoth: this should do, I made it so you can see me but others can't so when you guide me you better be aware of your surroundings. I will also go into your shadow so we can talk telepathically.
Seeing what he did I decided to believe in him and then walked to the city gates with davoth following me in my shadow.
City Guards: Stop right there! Identity yourself
Seeing the city guards again I then brought out my ID and showed them it.
Ethan: Here is my ID, sir.
The city guards then checked and then spoke.
City Guards: well if it isn't ethan, welcome back how was your adventure.
Ethan: It was fine besides getting ambushed by that creature and other monsters.
City Guards: well welcome in
I then walked into the city and heard a voice in my mind.
Davoth: * what do you think, the guards didn't notice me right. Now that we are here why don't you introduce me some history and places of the city*
Seeing that the guards did indeed not see him I asked him a question.
Ethan: * why don't you register in this city instead of hiding?*
Davoth: * that's for personal reason and so I don't have any history yet, for even being known can attract a lot of attention which can cause your doom without knowing even if you're a big or small character*
Knowing why he decided to hide, I didn't bother anymore and started introducing the history and places of the place while walking.
Ethan:*In this city there are many places but the main ones are blacksmiths, shops, magic shops, alchemy, the holy church, guilds, and adventure guild.*
Davoth:* I see... blacksmiths for weapons and armor. Shops for food and other items, magic shops for magic releated stuff. Alchemy for things such as potions and healing if not other things. The holy church probably worship the beings who created this safe haven for everyone here, and finally the guilds which adventure guild being the biggest one*
Ethan: *You are correct, and it seems I don't need to deplane much to you since you are smart to know even the smallest details*
Davoth:* since I know almost everything here, this is my goodbye, Goodbye*
In an instant My link with davoth went blank and I knew he went away although I don't know where.
Ethan: * well it's none of my business anyway, let's go to the adventure guild*
