Chapter 414 - Chapter 414 - Naruto Training 03.

[Chapter Size: 2500 Words.]

Mount Myōboku, 43.

...

...

"So you want to see if he can unleash the Adamantine Chains...", the man murmured among several elder members of the Uzumaki Clan.

Among them was Mu Uzumaki, whom Minato Namikaze was already quite familiar with, even more than with the clan leader himself. Meanwhile, they had received the people standing before them, Minato, Kushina Uzumaki and, respectively, Naruto Uzumaki.

"Yes. He is a boy from a different world, but he still has our genes and carries Kushina's blood, blood from which he was never able to fully unleash the potential, with that part of the Uzumaki blood within him. Even so, he has a gigantic amount of chakra, far more than any ninja should have at his age, and his body is also somewhat special...", Minato explained while the elders looked at the boy.

"Are you sure we should give the clan's secrets to an unknown young man?" one of the elders said, while the others looked at each other, trying to read each other's opinions with just their gazes.

"Well, I can already understand your concerns, but I would like to hear why we should train him directly from Minato." Masaki, the clan leader said, looking directly at the clan's savior, whom he had only seen lately during meetings inside the village between the elders and the leaders. Which had already become quite frequent, given the conversations about the war and the strategies Konohagakure was implementing for the next war.

Minato sighed, but looked directly at the clan leader. "Because there is no problem in teaching him. Since he comes from a timeline and reality different from ours, it will not alter our future in this world, and even though he still hasn't shown the Adamantine Chains in 16 years, and may never awaken this technique, I would still like you to teach him."

"Naruto comes from a different world... a world where the Uzumaki Clan was exterminated." Kushina added, explaining Naruto's point of view.

"You can't be serious..." someone interrupted Kushina, refusing to believe what he had heard about the clan.

"You speak as if we wouldn't have met the same fate ourselves if we hadn't received Lord Minato's help," it was Mu Uzumaki who spoke, causing the elder who had spoken to fall silent, while all the others slowly nodded in agreement.

How could they have survived without the help of Minato and his wives?

"We were also fortunate that events seem to have unfolded differently...", the leader pondered, stroking his chin.

"Yes. The attack from the four countries happened between the First and Second Wars. Likewise, perhaps Konoha turned its back on you in that world," Minato said.

He had not confirmed anything directly, but it was quite obvious that Konoha had simply turned a blind eye to the imminent attack on the Uzumakis. There was no way they could not have known that the nations were simply gathering their armies and advancing.

They should also have understood that Uzushiogakure was a threat. Perhaps Hiruzen Sarutobi was too young and had only recently gained the title of Hokage, or perhaps Danzo Shimura and he came to the conclusion that the Uzumakis were not worth saving, as happened here... no one knows.

But one thing was certain. They had died in that world. That immediately caused the entire room to sink into a rather gloomy atmosphere.

Naruto, who was observing everything around him, had countless emotions ever since he arrived. First, he had never been surrounded by so many elders before, and he was restraining himself from simply shouting a few things at them as soon as he heard all of that.

But his father had said he should contain his impulsive nature. 'Because we're here to ask them for a favor, not to demand anything,' Minato had said, already familiar with Naruto's temperament.

Even so, Naruto wanted to thank his father. Minato didn't need to do any of this, yet he was there trying to help him unlock a power that his mother possessed.

"And do you know if the Uzumaki Clan settled somewhere else in that world?" the leader asked curiously, now looking directly at Naruto.

Naruto lowered his head slightly, embarrassed, while shaking it negatively. "I've never heard of other Uzumakis, sir. I've never met anyone with that surname. Until then, I thought it was just a common last name. I didn't know anything about my clan's history," Naruto said sincerely, causing all the elders' expressions to darken even more.

How could this young man not know about the Uzumaki Clan?

"Isn't that a little hard to believe? Are you saying that our clan, worthy of being famous throughout the entire world and feared for our sealing techniques and spiritual power, means nothing to you in your era?" someone spoke, clearly dissatisfied.

Naruto shook his head, while Minato merely observed. There should obviously be something in the history books, but Naruto had never been much of a reader. It also wasn't something directly taught at the academy.

Even when they talked about the history behind the village's founding and its allies, if Naruto had known the Uzumaki Clan was involved, he would have shouted to the seven winds as a child that he belonged to a group that helped build the village. That his name carried weight, after all, he was an Uzumaki.

But that was never told to him, and the Uzumaki clan had never been praised in his era.

In Naruto's time, Uzushiogakure was already nothing more than remnants of an almost forgotten past. Naruto also didn't know Karin Uzumaki at that time, since he was in the timeline between defeating Kakuzu with the Rasen-Shuriken and searching for Sasuke Uchiha, about to meet Itachi Uchiha.

"Sorry... I had no idea what the Uzumaki name meant until I met my mother in this world," he finally said.

"That sounds rather depressing..." the leader murmured, trying to ease the heavy atmosphere.

Most of the Uzumaki elders present — all with either still-red or already-white hair — wore dark and furious expressions. Even if it had nothing to do with them, since it belonged to another world, it was not easy to hear that their family had simply been exterminated.

"Well... I think that, with the extermination in Naruto's world, I believe we should help this young man discover the power of his blood. After all, it is all we have in this world: our techniques, abilities, and our pride. All of that had been destroyed in that world. Don't you think it would be a good idea to reignite that through this young man?" Mu was the one who spoke this time.

Even though Naruto was not a pure-blooded redhead, he would still be the best bet they had. And also the fact that he was the son of their saviors and carried the Yang half of the Kurama inside his body also carried weight. Something they could not hide even if they wanted to, everyone had felt the violent chakra as soon as he approached so many sensor and chakra-sensitive ninjas like the Uzumakis.

Even though Minato said he was his son from another world, he still possessed both his and Kushina's characteristics. And Minato himself was standing before them, demanding an audience and asking for him to be trained.

"Well, I don't see a problem with it either. After all, this won't affect us as was said... And it may also keep our spirit and pride from dying in that world, where they were already destroyed." The leader spoke. His words echoed throughout the room as he looked over the faces of all the elders.

"Does anyone object?" he still asked.

Many kept their eyes closed, merely shaking their heads negatively when they felt the leader's gaze upon them. It wasn't just because they were accepting a request from Minato himself, since all he had to do was ask and they would do anything within their power — the Namikaze Family would always have that privilege within the clan — but also because of the clan in that world itself.

Naruto felt Kushina touch his shoulder while she smiled. "Very good, Naruto. Looks like we did it!"

In the end, they left the clan leadership behind. Tomorrow they would begin a ritual that even Minato himself did not fully understand, taken from the personal library of one of the elders, something performed many years ago.

Because the Uzumaki Clan did not simply appear out of nowhere. It came from several families descended from Ashura Otsutsuki, who gathered together and tried to purify the blood to make it purer and more powerful hundreds of years ago. That was what later gave rise to the Uzumaki Clan.

After all, red hair did not simply appear out of nowhere or from a single person alone. Otherwise, there would have been genetic problems once they began interbreeding with such close relatives later on.

In any case, they returned to Konohagakure.

It was already nighttime when Minato told Naruto that he should rest and that they would go to the Uzumaki clan tomorrow. After mastering Sage Mode, he was somewhat tired. But he was also anxious about the results of the tests in the morning to begin training with the clan, with Minato saying that he would teach him how to throw the Rasenshuriken later as well.

Minato was about to teach him the control and chakra rotation necessary to make the jutsu fly toward his enemies. Even though Naruto had enough talent to learn on his own, Minato would simply speed up the process.

Naruto opened the door and entered the house created by Yamato, finding him at the table.

"Ah, Naruto," Yamato said from the kitchen, with a small smile.

"Captain Yamato," Naruto greeted, removing his ninja sandals.

"Come eat. Miss Tsuna said you returned to the village, and Miss Mikoto brought some food from the Namikaze family's dinner. Since Lord Minato returned as well, they prepared a special meal."

Naruto nodded in surprise at that and couldn't help but look toward the window, where he saw the illuminated mansion and movement in the kitchen. They seemed busy.

His parents were now gathered together, eating alongside their wives and children. He had experienced that a lot over the past few days. After all, Naruto also ate with them there sometimes, and sometimes they took him to eat in the village. But Naruto still couldn't help feeling a little jealous for not being there, despite knowing he had no right to that.

Even so, Naruto moved toward the table while serving himself some stew with noodles. Almost like ramen, to tell the truth. And it smelled really good.

Yamato joined him in eating. "Hm... you're quiet." He noticed Naruto was deep in thought while beginning to eat.

"I'm just thinking a little, Captain Yamato..." he said, looking at the man before swallowing dryly.

Perhaps he had never talked about all of this since they arrived.

"What do you think about all of this? Like... we've been here in this world for more than three weeks. We shouldn't be here, but they treat us well. Lord Minato, and Lady Kushina..." Naruto murmured, even though their names sounded strange coming from his mouth that way.

"Well, to tell the truth, even I'm surprised by everyone's hospitality. The village accepted us easily, and we can even interact with people who, in our timeline, we wouldn't be able to under normal time travel circumstances. But if we have this chance here, Naruto... especially you, since I heard you already learned how to use Sage Mode... that's incredible." Yamato spoke in a serious tone, but still praised him.

"Naruto, if you have a chance to learn from them, learn, because things will be easier in our world..." he added.

Naruto heard that and nodded. "But I think they're really nice to me. I mean... I'm not even someone who has been born yet in this world. Even so, they treat me as if I really were their son..."

Naruto couldn't stop thinking about that. So many secrets, so much effort and attention they were giving him. Even Minato left clones behind to train his students, while he himself gave attention to Naruto.

He felt a little uncomfortable. Perhaps because he had never had peace in his heart, never had parents in his childhood who took care of him, and he truly didn't know how to act around them... Maybe he thought he didn't deserve that from people who should have been strangers to him.

"Well... they recognize you as their son and already discovered the hardships you went through in our world after the death of your real parents... I believe they're trying to do something for you. After all, Naruto, if you have this chance, don't throw it away. Like I said, you're already getting stronger," Yamato spoke while eating.

Naruto thought for a moment before nodding and showing a more cheerful smile. "Yeah, Captain Yamato... you're right." He began eating again.

"And how are things going with your younger self?" Naruto asked, while Yamato closed his eyes, a little nervous about that... Beads of sweat began running down his forehead...

"Is something wrong, Captain Yamato?" Naruto asked worriedly.

"Actually... I feel sorry for my younger self..." Yamato almost broke down crying. "The training he's going through is horrible, coming from that woman..."

"Miss Tsuna?" Naruto immediately connected the dots.

After all, during his first few days there, he had also begun seeing young Yamato's training, and Tsuna was extremely strict. Sometimes Tsuna and Tsunade, mother and daughter, would appear and almost turn it into a competition.

The problem was that even Yamato himself (Adult Version) got involved in those incidents. He suffered from having to participate in the hellish training as well.

"But you know something? I'm happy with my self in this world. I've found a better master than the one I had in our world," Yamato said.

At that time, he had already been taken by Danzo Shimura and sent to the Root for training. He started working like a mission-completing machine, without emotions, until he was finally freed with the help of Kakashi Hatake-senpai.

Naruto nodded while Yamato drank a little sake. Naruto began laughing later, since he felt calmer with all this confusion of being in another world.

"So now, tell me about your training at Mount Myoboku. Jiraiya-sama said you ended up a little traumatized."

"Traumatized? Who wouldn't be?! My father from this world simply started fighting with my mother on the first day we arrived there! They destroyed entire mountains and even made those tough frogs tremble in fear just by watching their fight from a distance!" Naruto began complaining while starting to talk about his experience with the Toad Clan and his Sage Mode training.
