Chapter 413 - Chapter 413 - Naruto Training 02.

[Chapter Size: 2600 Words.]

Mount Myōboku, 43.

...

...

Four days had passed since Naruto began his training with the Toad Clan's Sage Mode, and Naruto had already learned to sense natural chakra on the very first day.

Having learned with far greater perception than expected thanks to the Fish Clan's waterfall, Naruto even managed to climb to the top of the place after a few hours of attempts. Unlike Minato, who had only managed it after several tries, but there was no way to compare the two of them.

Even so, at the time, Naruto showed remarkable talent. After that, things became quite simple, as Naruto received assistance from Minato, who controlled the flow of natural energy himself, placing the palm of his hand on the younger one's back so he wouldn't lose control and also to help him get used to it.

Two days later, Naruto was finally learning how to concentrate. On the third day, he was already atop one of Mount Myoboku's rocky peaks, balancing on a single wooden board, spending an entire day standing still, merely absorbing natural energy without Minato's assistance anymore.

By that point, Jiraiya had already appeared at Mount Myōboku with tears in his eyes. It wasn't enough that Minato had surpassed him, but now this young man from another world had achieved the feat he himself had never been able to accomplish.

So it wasn't surprising to find Jiraiya crying in front of the two of them, as they finally bid farewell to the toads before leaving.

"Why can you two use Sage Mode without looking horrible?!" Jiraiya kept crying in front of Naruto and Minato. "I always look like some hideous creature! I always avoid using this mode because girls don't find it attractive!"

He kept lamenting. Obviously, his Sage Mode was somewhat disastrous. He didn't just have toad eyes — even his entire form changed. He became more swollen, his skin turned greasier and covered in warts, while his hands and feet transformed into toad-like limbs.

It was a horrible sight, and Jiraiya cared mainly about women's opinions. Otherwise, he would have been flaunting his power on the battlefield. He just didn't do it because he knew he would be ridiculed.

He might have even been superior to his fellow sannin companions.

"Jiraiya-sensei, I'm sorry, but that's just the reality of things..." Minato commented, scratching the back of his head while looking at Jiraiya collapsed on the ground, nearly in the fetal position. What else could he do? That was simply how things were, unfortunately. Some people are born with greater talent...

Despite being skilled enough to master Sage Mode — something very few had achieved, considering Orochimaru and Tsuna couldn't do it, and even Madara had never managed it before absorbing Hashirama's chakra in that state — Jiraiya still wasn't talented enough to alter only the appearance of his eyes, unlike Minato and Naruto, who could transform only their eyes without any other bodily changes.

Naruto looked at the old sage with a grimace. "Damn... Was the Error-Sannin always this whiny in the past?" he muttered, not knowing what to say about the man who was his sensei in the other world.

"Anyway, it's better if we head back. Fukasaku-san, thank you for all the hospitality over the past few days," Minato said to the toad beside him as they said their goodbyes.

Even the great toads had come to see them off, since they had grown close over the past few days. Naturally, conversations had happened, and some were quite curious about Naruto, whom no one knew and who had still managed to master Sage Mode!

Even Gamabunta was respectful, which left Naruto a bit stunned, not used to this kind of treatment from that toad. But that was because he still hadn't been summoned by Naruto yet, whom he probably wouldn't accept so easily. No, not until Naruto mastered Sage Mode, since from the moment he mastered it just as well as Minato, all the toads of Mount Myoboku had become even more respectful toward Naruto. Among the toads, only the two elder toads, Fukasaku and Shima, could truly master natural energy...

"Are you sure you already want to leave? Don't you want to eat a little before going? I prepared a delicious larva stew!" Shima said beside her husband, while Naruto, Minato, and Jiraiya all grimaced.

"No, thank you for everything, Lady Shima. It's better if we go now. I arranged a meeting with the Uzumaki Clan leader and the elders at the clan," Minato said while the two toads nodded.

"Give our regards to the elder toad as well. And Naruto will certainly surprise the toads in his world too."

With those final words added, Minato touched Naruto and pulled along a still-dejected Jiraiya before teleporting directly to Konoha instead of using a portal or a summoning jutsu.

As long as he wasn't going to the Moon, his teleportation wouldn't drain his chakra. Besides, he had also applied the same chakra storage seal he had given to his students onto himself, meaning he no longer needed to draw chakra from Kushina anymore. Not only on himself, but also on all of his wives, placing it within a sealing tattoo on their bodies.

It had started functioning very well, just as Minato had directly described to Rin when he gave it to her. Instead of containing a Bijuu, the seal functioned like a chakra accumulator, constantly gathering natural chakra and storing it in a separate space from the body.

The person could control how much of their produced chakra would flow there like an extra battery instead of draining their own body. Minato, who already naturally possessed chakra at a Bijuu-level, could easily store about three times the amount he already had in that space over the coming months, while his body continuously replenished the chakra being siphoned into storage at all times.

Now, whenever Minato needed chakra, he could simply draw from that reserve. In other words, he now possessed four times the amount of chakra he would normally have. At a level beyond a Bijuu, it was as if he had four ordinary bijuus inside his body.

Not only that, but he also had a seal for natural chakra, which increased his reserves even further, completely skyrocketing his combat power.

He could still increase that reserve of normal chakra even more because he could absorb natural chakra through the environment's rotation continuously, constantly filling that second battery with even more powerful chakra.

It wasn't hard to say that Minato believed that once both batteries were full, he would possess as much chakra as the complete Nine-Tailed Fox.

And he wasn't the only one benefiting from it. Kushina, despite not being able to store the Fox's chakra, could do the same with her own chakra, which was also incredibly vast... though it would still take at least a few months to fully fill it, since it was a complete seal.

The same applied to Hanabi and Mikoto. And then there was Tsuna, who already had her own storage seal, which made Minato sigh upon realizing she had started dividing it. It would take a few years with her chakra filling two reserves, but she would end up possessing as much chakra as two complete Bijuu. Not to mention she would still have the Strength of a Hundred Seal, allowing her to maintain a practically immortal body.

Naruto and Minato said goodbye to Jiraiya, who returned to deliver a report to the village, while Kushina appeared in front of the gate.

"You're already back! Do you want something to eat?" she asked, while Minato was about to answer, but the growling from Naruto's stomach answered first.

Minato simply smiled. "Let's eat something before going to the Uzumaki clan..."

Kushina nodded. "Come on. I made a pie yesterday, there's still some left," she said, leading them inside the house.

Several explosions echoed from the training field. Obviously, Minato hadn't neglected his students' training during this time. They were also learning how to use the seal he had applied to their bodies.

His goal was to make Rin reach elite jōnin level, Obito reach jōnin level, and Kakashi reach elite jōnin level before the war began.

And with the addition of the chakra storage seal, they would probably also gain an extra jōnin-level chakra reserve on top of their normal chakra to use whenever they wanted. That would give them an absolute advantage in the war. At least that was his initial plan, since he might need to speed up some things if the opportunity arose.

He needed Obito to awaken the three tomoe so he could try to unlock his Mangekyō, and he would attempt to implant Mokuton cells into his body. Obito would become the strongest among them.

In any case, Minato let Kushina feed Naruto, who was hungry, while he went to pay attention to the two babies being cared for by Tsuna on the second floor of the castle.

He picked up Hikari, while Tsuna sat reading a book, watching her husband as soon as he arrived.

"Na na!!" Hikari exclaimed a few sounds, or at least tried to. It almost sounded like "Daddy." But Hikari was still a baby less than a year old, so it would still take some time before she spoke her first words.

"That almost sounded like 'Daddy'..." Minato smiled, giving the girl a kiss before turning his attention back to Tsuna sitting on the couch with a book in hand.

"Just my luck for her to learn 'Daddy' before 'Mommy'..." Tsuna huffed, though she wasn't actually upset about it.

"Mommy will have her turn too... Someday..." Minato teased her, while Tsuna merely shook her head.

A baby's sound came from the other crib. Minato set Hikari aside with one arm and picked up little Itachi with the other, while the small boy squeezed his father's cheeks and made a few gestures.

Minato laughed at that and stayed with them for a while, sitting beside Tsuna, seeing that she was reading and exchanging a few words with his wife.

In the end, he left the two children with her, since she was taking care of them, while he went downstairs to meet Naruto and Kushina.

"Let's go," Minato said as they teleported, arriving inside the Uzumaki Clan beside the village.

Naruto began to realize how common it was to see redheads walking around Konoha Village. But it was nothing compared to this side. Everywhere within the Uzumaki Clan, there were redheads walking back and forth.

After all, there was no reason for the village to enter Uzumaki territory. They were self-sufficient. There were no stores for outsiders; they still maintained their own farms and voluntarily traded among themselves within the clan.

Despite that, it was still common for them to enter Konoha Village to buy things they couldn't find within the clan. Konoha had an even greater variety of goods and entertainment. And all active Uzumaki clan ninjas still had to attend meetings inside the village, since that was where the mission center remained.

Despite the disparity, Konoha had begun to accept their new Uzumaki neighbors, and although the Uzumakis would never forget the betrayal of Konoha abandoning them, they had still begun to grow accustomed to the neighboring village as well.

Minato entered with Naruto and Kushina beside him, and the first place they went wasn't directly to speak with the clan leader, but rather to see Kushina's mother.

As they walked, Minato and Kushina greeted everyone who recognized them, while people cast somewhat surprised glances toward Naruto. But since he was between the two of them, no one stopped him from entering the clan's central area alongside them.

Akahana Uzumaki was watering some plants in the garden while tending to it when she saw Kushina appear.

"Oh, Kushina! You brought Minato and someone else?" she said.

"Hi, Mom!" Kushina stepped forward to hug her mother, who accepted the embrace and returned it tenderly.

"Hello, mother-in-law..." Minato also greeted her with a nod.

"Mother-in-law..." Naruto murmured, surprised to realize that this was Kushina's mother, since his mother from that world had called her Mom.

"And who might this be...?" Akahana turned her gaze toward him.

She still didn't know about his existence, because whenever she visited the Namikaze house, Naruto had already been at the toad clan training. Akahana's visits to Minato's house were frequent, since the villages were only about two kilometers apart — there was a safe path leading to the Uzumaki Clan village entrance.

After about ten or fifteen minutes of walking, you could already get from one area to the other, even if you weren't a ninja. Lady Leite visited her daughter often, just as Kushina also went to her mother's house frequently.

"Well, you always complained that you wanted to see a grandchild," Kushina said with a mischievous smile, while her mother looked at her in confusion.

Naruto became awkward, and Minato merely sighed.

"Let's go inside. Let's talk for a bit," Minato said.

Lady Leite nodded as she prepared some coffee and began listening to their story.

"So... you're my daughter's son from another world?"

"Yeah... I guess that's how it is. And you would be my grandmother..." The word felt a little strange in Naruto's mouth.

"Well... that would be if I weren't dead in your world, correct? And your parents, who should have been your parents, if they hadn't died on the day you were born..." she said in a worried tone. She could clearly see the resemblance of her daughter and her husband in this boy...

Naruto nodded with a sad smile.

"Naruto's world is a little crueler than ours," Minato said, even though things would have gone down the same path if he hadn't interfered early on in this world.

"I understand..." she murmured carefully. "And now you're training the boy so he can become stronger before returning to his own world?" she asked.

"Yes! And I'm way stronger now, dattebayo!" Naruto said, making Kushina's mother start laughing.

"You really do act just like Kushina," she said.

"That's true, dattebane!" Kushina exclaimed happily.

"In Naruto's world, there aren't teachers who could train him this well. Even though I don't doubt their competence, I still felt we could improve his strength considerably," Minato explained.

Minato continued listening to them talk while sitting beside Kushina, but his thoughts immediately drifted elsewhere... He had been sensing something strange over the past few days. Someone was watching them. And it wasn't exactly a Zetsu, because he could sense their presence.

However, what he felt was merely a gaze coming from somewhere he couldn't identify even with Haki, although thanks to Observation Haki, he could still sense that stare. So he knew there was a constant feeling of being watched.

And he already had an idea of who it was, because he knew that gaze was directed mainly toward Naruto.

'Could it be that old man, wherever he may be, noticed the reincarnation chakra of his own son... Ashura, existing in this world in an artificial way?' Minato could only think of that possibility.

No matter where he was, that gaze was always upon them. And there could only be one person like that in this world.

Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki... or rather, the Sage of Six Paths, was watching them.
