Lyle and his men moved, the night swallowing them as they left the city of Veldros and the clearing where they had killed the mercenaries behind them. They didn't worry about the bodies being found as they simply didn't care. The entire region, as well as the regions around it, were in complete chaos.
Factions fought for control over one another, clans waged wars, city states rose and fell, mercenaries were rising to fame and dying each day, and the spreading corruption was causing immense pressure on everybody.
The death of a couple of mercenaries was nothing much, it wouldn't really make the city of Veldros go into panic. It would place pressure on them, but they would probably just chalk it up to the mercenaries not being lucky and coming across a powerful enemy that decided to slaughter them.
