Chapter 82 - Chapter 82 - The Fall of Robert Baratheon.

[Chapter Size: 2000 Words.]

Third Person POV.

Kingsland.

...

...

"Ahhh."

Robert Baratheon's groan escaped his lips as he still felt his world spinning, swearing his ear was bleeding after the roar he had received. The pain was something he had never felt before.

"Stop moaning like a wretch."

Jon mocked, looking down at the fat King of Westeros beneath his feet.

The man continued trying to recover as Jon watched him for a while. He was in no hurry—he doubted there would be many men willing to venture into the forest after seeing the white werewolf that Robert's men had encountered, or hearing the roar of the dragon.

Finally, Robert managed to look up again, his eyes slightly lost as he faced Jon, who maintained a neutral expression toward the King of Westeros.

"Dragonspawn..."

He murmured, but obviously, there was more fear in his voice now than anger itself.

"You certainly have balls."

Jon spoke as he kicked Robert before he could even react, sending the fat man flying several meters with ease, propelled by the strength of the Dragonborn.

Once again, Robert rolled until he finally stopped, dazed, groaning once more.

Jon watched this and found it pathetic. He then conjured a summoning, and a Springer appeared.

"Heal him."

Jon requested.

Robert didn't even know exactly what was happening due to his lack of air, while his body began to lose all pain, making him feel better immediately. He also felt a red liquid hitting his mouth, catching him by surprise.

Jon was giving him a health potion since the Springer was limited. Robert didn't understand why this was happening, but Jon stepped back a few steps before he stood up and looked at him with some suspicion, despite the anger and fear in his eyes.

"Don't look at me like that; I'm not doing this because I have any love for you."

Jon responded, looking at him with a certain disdain.

"On the contrary, I don't want to tell myself that I beat a man who was already injured. After all, for someone like me, that would be a certain disgrace."

Jon added, and magically drew out the hammer Robert had used before suffering from the wild boars, throwing it at the feet of the King of Westeros.

Robert saw the hammer fall there and looked at the Dragonborn with a stunned expression—he swore there had been nothing in the Dragonborn's hand a moment ago.

But he knew very well what that meant. He returned to the hammer and picked it up, while watching Jon holding a thin sword that hadn't been there until a moment ago.

"You killed a Targaryen a year ago, but he was tied up with his neck stretched out for your executioner to cut off his head."

Jon referred to Viserys.

"But will you be able to do the same with a Targaryen holding a Targaryen sword in his hand?"

He pointed the Dark Sister at Robert, practically mocking him with the question.

Robert looked at him for a while, seeming frustrated and lost, while his gaze fell just behind Jon, seeing the dragon standing still but staring at him. He was nothing compared to that creature.

"Don't worry. I don't need a dragon to fight you. After all, you're just a fat, debauched king. I'd be ashamed to look at myself in the mirror if I had to resort to that."

Jon mocked, making Robert a little angrier than nervous.

"Are you angry? Look at yourself—the Demon of the Trident, who became what you are today. Kind of disappointing, isn't it? Especially when your own wife prefers to sleep with her own brother and bear his children instead of yours. The woman you always say you love preferred to run away with another."

He provoked Robert to the point that the Baratheon finally unleashed his fury, overpowering his fear. Even if he died there, he would rather take Jon with him.

That was exactly what the Dragonborn wanted—after all, he preferred fighting a man with the will to fight.

"Liar!!"

Robert exploded as he charged forward with his hammer, already seeing it crushing Jon's head, while the Dragonborn seemed satisfied with this action.

The hammer quickly came down from above as Robert was already not far from Jon.

The Dragonborn moved at the last moment, raising his sword and striking hard against the hammer to deflect the trajectory of the attack, making Robert lose his balance slightly as he missed the blow to the side.

Jon simply stepped to the opposite side and watched him trying to regain his balance.

"Liars about what? Your supposed bastard children? Or because my mother disgusted you and never loved you... Although my biological father deserved a good beating for his foolish actions that doomed his family."

Jon spoke, watching him from the side.

"Liar!"

Once again, Robert exclaimed, swinging his hammer sideways to hit Jon, while the Dragonborn was already far enough away not to be struck, calmly observing the failed attack.

"My children are mine!"

Robert exclaimed, shouting loudly as he tried to recover from the failed strike.

"Lyanna was taken by your father rapist! You are the fruit of rape!"

He shouted with all his strength, not even seeing Jon move quickly, stepping forward and swinging his sword.

When Robert noticed, he felt his fingers being cut off as he held the hammer by the upper part. He immediately screamed in pain as four fingers from his hand fell to the ground, severed.

"I would watch your words, King Robert."

Jon spoke as he saw him groaning in pain, clutching his fingerless hand with the other after dropping the hammer.

"There are certain words I will not hear lightly. The consequences will be quite high, as you can see... Since you've now become a crippled king."

Jon continued as the blood gushed out, and Robert did not know whether to pay attention to the pain or the hatred he felt for Jon at that moment—surpassing even what he remembered feeling for Rhaegar.

"I would honestly like to wage war against you."

Jon spoke, pausing.

"But I doubt you'll last long... After all, your wife was planning your assassination today. It will probably happen, as the city is full of Lannisters serving her, not you. You really were a fool to believe you had control of your kingdom while you squandered money all the time... But you failed miserably. You indebted the crown. Your own wife sleeps with her brother without you knowing. And your children, who should be your heirs, are all bastards. After all, all your bastards have blue eyes and black hair like you. Strange, isn't it? But magically, your wife's children are blonde, with green eyes, like pure Lannisters... Have you really never wondered about that?"

Jon said, while Robert tried to stop the bleeding, but the blood continued to pour out.

"Lies!"

Robert shouted, his face twisted with rage and tears in his eyes, making Jon raise an eyebrow.

"You are crying... You know that, deep down, it is true. But you were drinking, surrounded by whores, precisely so you wouldn't think about it. Deep down, you know."

Jon questioned.

"And you will end up like this... While the bastard will take your crown. But don't worry... If you feel anger toward him, I will be marching south with my own army soon. And I will make every house that unjustly harmed House Targaryen pay for all their crimes and mistakes."

Robert said nothing more, while tears of hatred streamed from his eyes. He said nothing and went to the hammer, picking it up with his left hand—the only one still whole—even as he felt enormous pain from the severed fingers.

He looked at Jon with a hatred determined to continue that fight.

Jon seemed satisfied with that attitude and saw the man charge at him, giving everything his body could offer.

Robert raised the hammer with a strength he should no longer even have, but his rage made him ignore all the protests from his muscles.

He advanced, trying to crush him, but it ended up being a failed attempt.

Jon spun his body, moving the Dark Sister behind and raising it under the hand holding the hammer.

Robert only saw his arm rising after losing control of the hammer... And then, a part of him appeared in front of him—without the hand that held the hammer.

Blood gushed everywhere.

The first look was one of denial as he felt the cold in his bone, skin, and exposed veins in such a state, with the hemorrhage gushing violently.

Soon, he felt the strength in his body begin to fade, as he knelt down, his knees striking the cold earth.

From one hand, his four fingers had been torn off, leaving only the thumb; from the other, his wrist between the hand and the arm had been cut with a clean strike from the Targaryen sword.

All Robert could hope for at that moment was death.

He looked at Jon, losing all the fury his house held as its motto, leaving only fear and despair in his gaze.

"You must be thinking how ironic this is..."

Jon said.

"You stood before Rhaegar Targaryen, crushing his chest with your hammer, and now you are here, ready to die before me, the son of the man you killed."

Jon smiled briefly, then continued.

"But I won't give you that satisfaction. After all, I would like you to die in a more interesting way.

I want you to see your own family... Or rather, those you think are your family... Killing you.

I'm sure that when you return to the Red Keep in the state you are in, it won't be long before your beloved wife kills you, so that her bastard son can take the throne."

He took a few steps forward, as Robert looked at him, powerless.

"You will see that you have no power.

And I want you to face your friend... The one you say is your blood brother, Ned Stark.

He hid the son of Rhaegar and Lyanna."

Jon came closer, and his voice grew lower.

"I know it may be hypocritical of me... After all, I doubt you would let me live.

But Lord Stark did not treat me well as a nephew.

I was always more like someone he could use to satisfy his frustrations and the anger he had toward my parents...

That is why... I will see him die even before a war begins."

Jon spoke coldly as he pushed Robert to the ground.

The king had no more strength, not even fingers to try to stop him.

Jon took a knife, storing his sword in his dimensional space.

Robert only tried, unsuccessfully, to prevent Jon from getting closer.

He opened his mouth to say something, but felt Jon's hand on it, and his tongue being quickly cut out as he groaned.

"I don't want you to speak about what happened here... After all, I am still a secret. I am acting from the shadows."

Jon said as Robert choked on his own blood.

Jon pulled the tongue from his mouth and, taking advantage of the moment, also cut off his thumb.

After all, it could still be used to write.

Jon wanted to see Robert watch his own court kill him.

Killing him there would be foolish.

He also wanted Robert to see Lord Stark after the truth.

Robert choked, dying there, unable to do anything, feeling three parts of his body bleeding nonstop, until Jon simply summoned another Spriggan.

"I want you to stop his bleeding."

Jon said in the end, looking at Robert, who was writhing on the verge of passing out, with the gleam of fear in his eyes, believing he was dying.

"This was for my brothers, for you never judging those who wronged them and instead mocking them... And you are only the first."

Jon spoke calmly as Winter watched the scene in silence, observing Jon and the human the entire time.

She did not seem to judge Jon.

Jon returned to the female dragon.

"I want you to stay there a little longer.

After all, I have to take this thing back to the city.

The show is just beginning in King's Landing."

Jon said calmly, while the dragon merely snorted, seeing him begin to carry the crippled king back to King's Landing.

The city was likely already in chaos after the arrival of those who had accompanied Robert, reporting about the monster they had seen in the King's Wood.
