Earlier in the day before Cruto's arm got cut off
Lilith had been talking to Demon God. Sometimes he would just talk to those he knew the most and others times he would tell them some of the things that needed to be done.
This time it was mixture of him talking and telling Lilith what needs to happen. Lilith learned that the Stairway Conscious had asked for them to convene in the Stairway to talk.
"Inside of the Stairway, we talked about making Tiamat, whom Rex helped a long time ago, into his last Soul Mate in the Godly Realm. However, we need your opinions on this matter. So please talk to the others about this." The Demon God spoke.
Lilith was not afraid of talking about this but rather the importance of the talk and had to ensure that Rex was not around.
Rex needed to do a couple of things before dinner and this gave Lilith the perfect timing to explain the situation to the others. Although, Oracle Aina was not involved with him yet. She was still invited because she would be when the time came.
"The gods and the Stairway Conscious had a talk recently. They proposed that Tiamat become Rex's final Soul Mate. Of course, if any of you wish to disagree I will tell the Demon God." Lilith spoke up.
The others looked at each other. This was of course a dangerous situation because if Rex and Tiamat did become Soul Mate. He would probably go to other worlds and find people like Fenggo who will want to be by his side.
The little girl whom Rex talks to later was outside their door listening to their conversation. She wanted to know what they think first before talking to Rex.
Each of them split up and writes down on a slip of paper what they think. There were only two words accepted Yes and No.
An equal amount of each would result in a No. If the result ended in favor, everyone would agree even if reluctantly.
The final result was in. Everyone was worried about what the answers would be. So they asked Bella to read the answers.
"First, it is a Yes."
The others were nervous has the first answer was already written down.
"Second, it is a Yes."
The others were now completely scared if the others were going to be the same.
"Third, it is a Yes."
The other slowly began to think that it would be in favor.
"Fourth, it is a No."
Everyone knew who had answered that one.
"Fifth, it is a No."
This shocked everyone that there were two no in the pile.
"Sixth, it is a Yes."
The others were greatly pleased to hear the yes.
"Seventh, it is a No."
It was getting close to a four Yes and three No. The women did not know what to think with this.
"Eighth, it is a Yes."
One more yes chance and Rex will marry Tiamat but the others did not know what would happen.
"Ninth, it is a Yes."
The Yes did win but it was indeed a close call.
"The final vote is a no."
It was indeed a close call. No one wanted to know who voted no but it was almost obvious.
Iris was hanging her head down low. Oracle Aina tried to comfort Iris. The Heavenly Guard and Soldier looked down.
"We did vote and it was indeed a close call. We have to accept Tiamat into our fold." Margaret spoke.
Iris glared at her with scornful eyes. Margaret tried to keep her cool. In the end, it was Lilith who rescued them.
"I am not saying that we all will accept a woman whom we barely have met and gave Rex more women than what she should have.
Our votes did tell us that we would accept Tiamat into the Soul Mate group and so we will." Lilith spoke saddened.
Everyone looked at her as if she had also voted no. This was indeed weird to see and hear.
They went to look at the final vote and Bella had changed Lilith's vote from a No to a Yes. Lilith had told her to say yes to her vote. She did not want to hold back people from growing and seeing how close it was.
Lilith decided to change her vote to a Yes. Thankfully, the last vote was Lilith's vote.
The little girl hearing that it could or could not happen decided to talk to Rex that night and see what he truly believed.
Since it was mainly up to his Soul Mate, the little girl decided to ask Tiamat to watch Oracle Aina's Soul Mate marriage and get to know the others so that way it could happen.
