Once the smile from the Charged Beast was seen. Roars came from the Vanguard, and the Charged Beast darted forward.
Luna tried her best to help stir the Beast into charging at the side. The Charged Beast already feeling the ground shift trudded forward without breaking a sweat.
Luna decided to attack instead of stir. The Charged Beast got a fist made up of dirt on the underbelly. This caught the Charged Beast unaware.
The Vanguard began to attack in shifts. For every four attacks, two people have already changed. The Charged Beast tried to charge up an attack only to be shut off by Luna.
She had already tried contacting Rex through various means. It had all failed and she was trying to be sure that he wanted this.
Using her power, Luna made sure that the Charged Beast would not open its mouth. She used everything possible to keep it that way. While attacks kept hitting the Charged Beast, it was superficial. They were not doing any damage but the humiliation from not being able to blast the people hurt worst.
Knowing that it was Luna who was keeping it from doing what it needed to. It changed from allowing her to live to attack and kill her first.
It bounced up just a couple of times and rolled itself into a ball. Once it had a good enough ball, launching itself into the air and keep rolling was easy. Luna flew around and the Charged Beast kept following it.
The Vanguard did not want to feel like hopeless people. They launched attacks and each one diverted the Charged Beast off tracks. This further angered it but it kept the goal of killing Luna first.
Luna nose-dived towards the ground and barely missed it. She had opened the ground wide enough for the Charged Beast to enter.
No attacks were launched towards the Charged Beast and this proved that killing her was the right option. Using tiny blades it was able to keep following Luna. Attacks were once again launched towards the Charged Beast.
One attack happened to enter the middle of the charging circle. The explosion that happened made everyone joyful for a minute.
That explosion not only rung the Charged Beast but the parasite as well. Now knowing that the people can hit him with a good attack.
The parasite then decided to look through the eyes to see whom the Charged Beast wanted dead. Upon seeing Luna, the parasite knew that this person was not someone from this Realm.
Discussing it with the Charged Beast, the duo decided to just hit the Shadow People and those living here. Even if Luna can damage the body, the parasite can quickly repair it.
The Vanguard, Luna, and the Charged Beast fought for an hour. Most of the Vanguard became unable to fight properly. However, that did not mean anything as long as their families needed them. They were going to fight.
This further enraged the Charged Beast. It had wanted to show superiority will holding back the deaths until the finale. Each time it wanted to be smug, a defeated foe would launch an attack on the face.
It lost against Luna, it could not be smug like it wanted to, and the people were worst than insects. Each time the Charged Beast went for an attack.
The same thing happened. This caused the Charged Beast to try and blast the people at point blank range. It barely charged a breath only find a stick up its butt and vines wrapped around the mouth.
The blast went through the inside of the Charged Beast. Since both ends had been blocked off, the only way for the blast to go was inward.
The stick got vaporized instantly but the damage was already done. The parasite tired of this game decided to head away since the Charged Beast was knocked out by the explosion.
The eerie green eyes went across everyone. The beast decided to see what was down because it had already felt the presences of many people downward.
Instead of worrying about the people up top. It decided to just head downward to where the next set of people were. Luna having protected most of the people from death was given cheers from the people.
Serious injuries were still plentiful but this was already accounted for. Those people were immediately transported back to the Demon Realm where demons, Shadow People, and Demi-humans were healing nonstop.
Even then, this was for the seriously injured. For the other injured, they would just have to wait until the fight was over.
