After seeing the good progress of the town. Rex left to go find the Shadow King in the Eighth Realm. This would not be hard but it was taking a lot of time before the arrival of the Shadow People.
"Do not worry. We will cultivate and begin training with the demons and Demi-humans. There is nothing to fear." Liz told him and kissed him on the cheek.
Iris rolled her eyes and kissed him on the other cheek.
"I am more upset that she got the first kiss. How are you going to make me happy?" Iris asked.
Rex was seriously having a headache form right now. He did not think that she would be this mad right now after knowing that he needed to be leaving.
"How about after I come back and watch you train. We train a little together and find a good spot to watch the night sky." Rex asked.
He knew this would not work but he decided to ask and see if it would.
"Only you and me correct?" Iris asked.
"Unless you want someone else there." Rex replied.
Iris smiled wide has she gave him a tight hug. It seemed like this worked to Rex.
"Hurry there and make sure to take your time coming back." Iris told him.
"Seems like you are happy now. Make sure to be happy when I come back." Rex told her.
She giggled and left.
Rex began to leave. He felt that this was the proper way to ensure that they survived. He could only imagine what would happen if he did not do this.
He only thought of going to the chamber of the Shadow King. Instantly, he was on his butt inside of the chamber. This freaked him out.
"Demon King, it is I Demon God."
Rex sighed in relief for once because he had no idea how this happened.
"I have granted you the power that Lilith uses to teleport to the Mortal Realm. Granted this power only works between the Demon Realm and Mortal Realm. Once you have properly visited the Heavenly Realm. Your power will increase with it.
Be warned this power can make or destroy you depending how you use it. If you use it for selfish reasons, that power will began to affect your mind slowly until you can only use it to conquer your selfishness. If you use it only for pure hearted goodness, it will not be able to be used for selfishness.
Although, it will be hard to contain your emotions during the teleportation. The reasoning behind your teleportation will affect the mind state. Too much good and only good can it be used for. Too much selfishness and only selfishness can it be used for.
I protected you this time from it and will on the trip back. Be warned how you use it in the future." The Demon God finished.
Rex was proud that he had helped him. What surprised Rex even more was that he felt that this was too much of a consequence rather than a blessing.
Being able to directly teleport somewhere is a bad thing unless you know what is at stake. Rex got up and walked down to the chamber where everyone else was.
When Rex arrived, the King greeted him. The duo walked to the very back. Inside was the Queen wearing her quite unusual pajamas.
"That clothing she is wearing is from the world where we once held a peace treaty. Now, that world is gone. Even worst, we could not help them. At the time, we were too weak and trying to grow. After we got the treaty, we could not help them because we had already come home before knowing they were invaded.
We did our best to avenge them. Even then, the remaining people of that world feared us and demanded their technology back. It took a lot to get them back their technology but we had already learned how to control most of what they had built.
Beside the point, what brought you here?" The Shadow King asked.
"I am here to bring you to the Ninth Realm and protect the area that we are building." Rex told him.
"Can we become a part of that town as well?" He asked.
This was a hard question to answer. He could not give an answer currently. Either way, he knew it would become troublesome. Thinking about it he knew what to answer truthfully.
"Right now, I believe it best just for you to stay in the shadows and protect the town. I would rather them be protected and not see what the future holds than to see it and we have to protect both parties at the same time from being hurt." Rex told him.
"Perhaps we can move up one day, darling. As you heard, it can be dangerous as I said." The King told his wife.
"Promise me that we will have a chance once the War is over." She spoke up.
"As long as we win, there will always be a chance for the growth of your power. Be warned it can easily become what we are facing right now." Rex finished.
She smiled knowing that he was right. At least thankfully, there are a lot of good people willing to ensure that this does not go down the wrong path in the future.
"When are you two leaving?" She asked.
