A week later, Belle stepped outside to greet their visitor, and just as she had anticipated, Jackson was standing at the gate. A week prior, the two had exchanged contact information and discussed Belle's desire to learn martial arts for self-defense. While Ceres was more than capable of teaching her the theory and techniques, it was entirely different to have a physical partner to actively spar with.
Initially, Eli had suggested asking Jillyanna for assistance regarding her safety concerns, but Ceres had vehemently refused the idea. Consequently, Belle had no choice but to decline Eli's offer.
"I'm here," Jackson greeted her with a warm smile as Belle unlocked the gate. "I brought you guys a little something."
"Ah? You really shouldn't have bothered with gifts," Belle replied, though she graciously accepted the gift bag anyway to avoid being rude. "Come on inside."
