After Jake left the meeting room, Morax exhaled with some exasperation. "Finally... The golden goose has been returned. But at what cost?"
Cloud Retainer huffed and said with some annoyance clear in voice. "What cost? Inazuma getting huffy we put them in their place for stealing from us? Sneznaha also getting huffy that we not allow them to steal a talent of our nation?"
Ningguang herself adding on quietly. "It had to be done. Though thankfully Lady Nahida and Rhuhkadavata didn't make things difficult for you Lord Morax."
A nod was given by the god of Geo. Then he spoke quietly. "Oh yes they didn't cause issues... Because they are far more patient then the short sighted Raiden siblings, they will get just the same if not more value indirectly working with Jake."
Then Ningguang spoke again but with a hint of cold steel in her tone. "And speaking of long term issues. Will anything be done about Ayaka? Yelan and the Yaksha can be used to make it look like an Abyssal attack."
Both Cloud Retainer and Morax shared a look before Morax spoke slowly. "No... I do not believe such an action is needed. This is naught but a politcial marriage for now. And even should feelings grow, Jake is firmly tied to Liyue. The worst situation is Jake wasting his time making another food factory for Inazuma frankly."
With Cloud Retainer adding on blandly. "Sadly my disciples coudn't get with the picture and snag such a good treasure who could help their cultivation and be controlled. But Morax is correct, dealing with Ayaka and that servant girl is un-needed frankly."
There was a slight pause as Morax and Ningguang looked at Cloud Retainer before Morax snorted and said with clear amuesment.
"Why does it sound like you are more dissapointed that Ganyu and Shenhe didn't entrap Jake with a child or something? You have been spending too many nights at the drama houses I say."
Cloud Retainer's face pinched before she threw a dark look at Morax before she said in clear annoyance. "I adore children unlike a certain someone who cringes and literally runs away from the sound of a crying infant!"
Ningguang knowing these two divines were about to veer way off into off topics... Like asking when she herself were going to get pregnant and have her own children. She coughed and violently moved the topic back to where it was needed.
"Ahem, Lord Morax I was curious as to how long you plan to stay here in Liyue Harbor? Surely you are needed back at the Chasm?"
"Yes I will need to head back soon... I did leave a clone back at the Chasm with a good deal of my power and aura to make the Abyssal's believe that I was watching more closely while I was gone. But I rather not leave things to chance for long." He said with a slight sigh.
The two women nodded with Morax taking a moment to finish his tea before exhaling with relief before he stood up and gave a shallow bow to the ladies and said. "I will be heading back then. I already left a mark on Jake as we left Sumeru so I can monitor his location. But Ningguan, I suggest you keep Yelan directly on him for now."
"Yes I understand Lord Morax." Ningguang said with a nod before adding on. "May I suggest that you leave the Hydro Yaksha Boreaus here as well. With myself, Boreaus, and Yelan... When the Knave comes to collect Jake, we can repel her."
The Geo Archon paused at the request before he slowly nodded. "That... Yes, that would be a good idea. She has spent too long in the Abyss this time and has had her mind clouded by it's taint. It would be good for her to remain on the surface and clear her mind."
With that Morax opened a hole in the void and stepped through the portal he made with Cloud Retainer giving Ningguang a look as the portal closed.
And with only the two women there for a silent moment. Cloud Retainer broke that silence as she spoke calmly. "In any case... Goodwork keeping things in order and especially keeping the Joyous Union Sect on their toes. That alchemy factory Jake has created will prove it's value even greater then his weapons in due time."
Then Cloud Retainer stood up elegantly before she paused and asked slowly with some curiosity. "Hmm... Do you believe that Jake prefer's women with more slim of frames? Both this Kuki Shinobu, Ayaka Kamisato, and your own Keqing are more on the petite side."
Ningguang's face pinched at the awkward question but she stilled answered with a wry smile. "I do believe Jake is not so particular about his tastes... He has flirted with Yelan plenty and has shown interest in her, and your disciple Shenhe for example."
Cloud Retainer waved a hand with a blade of compressed wind energy slice a tear into the void so she herself could leave back to her Sect as well. But just as she left, Ningguang could hear the thousand plus year old immortal grumbling.
"And yet, I am still without any sign of grandchildren after centuries of taking disciples! My disciples are just hopeless I tell you!"
And with that... Ningguang was left alone to finally finish her cup of tea in sweet silence. But before she finished it, she filled the larger cup back up with a strong spirit to calm her mind and heart after all this nonsense.
