Outside, the sky turned completely black, and lightning flashed across it again and again. The air felt heavy, as if something terrible was about to happen.
Inside the room, Adela stood beside Max and Veronica, watching over Camilla. She lay pale and weak on the bed, barely breathing. Max and Veronica worked together, using their powers to keep her warm and stable.
Adela stayed silent. Her mind felt overwhelmed. Too much had happened, and she couldn't think clearly anymore.
She walked to the window and looked outside. Light rain fell, tapping softly against the glass, but it wasn't a storm—yet.
Suddenly, Richard came and stood beside her. He placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Adela," he said softly, "everything will be fine."
Adela took a deep breath and nodded. "I hope so," she replied in a low voice.
But in the next moment, a loud, horrifying sound echoed through the palace.
Everyone froze.
