Ciella and I now stood within the Hall Of Cancer. Within this Hall was a Terminal connected to an intricately designed interface. Ciella and I accessed the Interface. A diagram popped up revealing the Blueprint of our Mount Olympus' Health System.

The Parameters for maintaining the Health Of Mount Olympus were split into Seven Sub-Modules in accordance with the Seven Major Elements of our Homeworld. For Fire, Elemental Generation and Balance. For Wind, Energy Release, Circulation and Vitality Maintenance. For Earth, Structural Reinforcement and Cellular Regeneration. For Time, Internal Harmony and Structural Order. For Water, Hygiene, Purification and Waste Management. For Lightning, Reflexive Enhancement and Coordination; and for Light, Sensory Perception Accuracy.
The Diagnostic Parameter for Fire was meant to oversee the process of Elemental Generation and Balance for the entire Mountain. It categorized all the Elements detailing their associated Amplifiers and Nullifiers as well as the process of Elemental Fusion for the derivation of Higher Order Elements. Being able to oversee this process efficiently meant that the Diagnostic for Fire could monitor the Elemental Balance of Mount Olympus and inform us of when Elemental Generation was peaking or deficient allowing us to intervene and regulate the process.
The Diagnostic Parameter for Wind was about maintaining the Vitality of the Mountain and the various Life Forms within it through Energy Release and Circulation. It was one thing to generate Elements and oversee their Balance. It was entirely another thing to circulate these Elements within Mount Olympus to every Living Being within it for the maintenance of their Vitality. For this purpose, Supply Chains needed to be set up to function synergistically with the process of Elemental Generation. These Supply Chains needed to possess the ability to monitor the entire chain, the flow of energy within Mount Olympus during the entire process of Energy Distribution so that if there was a break or some interference with the process, the point of interference could be identified quickly and remedied.
The Diagnostic Parameter for Earth focused on Structural Reinforcement and Cellular Regeneration. In other words, this was about enhancing the Elemental Composition of the Structural Framework of Mount Olympus to withstand Decay, Assault and Infiltration. To make Mount Olympus strong enough to withstand Decay, we needed an understanding of the Principles governing Entropy and how nullifiers triggered Entropy within their Elemental Counterparts as well as how amplifiers could reinforce synergistic Elements to strengthen them against Entropy. To strengthen Mount Olympus against Assault and Infiltration was not simply about making its Structural Framework tougher but also about comprehending the Elemental Affinities and Strategic Tendencies of our Adversaries. For this process to be effective, we needed to expand the Perceptual Range of our Scouts and assign them to perpetually gather info regarding occurrences within our continent. We needed their Perceptual Range to overlap so seamlessly and omnidirectionally that blindspots in the detection range of the Reflexive Autonomous Armament Platform would be eradicated. If we could detect the enemy before they undertook any suspicious activities, we would be able to counteract their schemes.
The Diagnostic Parameter for Time focused on Internal Harmony and Structural Order. For this parameter to function, we needed to be able to analyze the general Social Climate of our people, the inhabitants of the Sky Gryphon House's Mount Olympus without needlessly invading any specific inhabitant's privacy. Analyzing the Social Climate of our House meant understanding both the predominant positive and negative sentiments of our people. We needed to comprehend the general social climate to understand where we could improve the functions of our House to minimize negative sentiments the Weaver Of Calamity could capitalize on while enhancing Positive Sentiments that would mitigate potential threats that were designed to capitalize on internal chaos.
The Diagnostic Parameter for Water was mainly about Hygiene and Waste Management. It was also to an extent an extension of the Vitality Principle governed by Wind and was thus intricately linked to the Element Of Fire's Elemental Generation and Wind's Vitality and Energy Circulation. This Parameter was mainly about managing excess and unwanted Energies. It was about breaking down and purifying Higher Order Elements into simple harmless organic compounds that could be returned to the environment without polluting it. For this to work, we needed to understand Elemental Chemistry at a very deep level. We would assign this mission to the Researchers of our House.
The Diagnostic Parameter for Lightning was about the Coordination Of Energy and the enhancement of the Reflexes or subconscious-physical actions of the Autonomous Systems running the House. We already understood what we needed to do to set up an efficient Supply Chain when we reviewed the Diagnostics for the Wind Element. The Lightning Element was an enhancement in the sense that it allowed us to coordinate the Supply Chain towards the completion of certain specific Vital Projects within the House. In other words, when a Vital Project was to be executed, we could redirect parts of the Supply Chain relevant to that Project towards the completion of the Project without causing significant deviations to the daily process of Energy Circulation. That meant multiplying Energy Production and Harvesting during such times without necessarily depleting our Energy Reserves. To comprehend and enhance the Reflexive Capabilities of the Autonomous Systems running the House, we needed to comprehend how they reacted to direct/explicit commands as well as abstract/subtle/implicit commands. The Autonomous Systems acted very accurately on explicit commands but sometimes misinterpreted the intent of abstract/implied commands due to their sometimes literal interpretation of implied/proverbial commands and also due to varying potential interpretations of the commands due to cultural nuance and the inherent semantic and at times syntactic structure of the commands. They could at times deviate from intent when a single command carried multiple potential interpretations and they decided to choose a specific interpretation. This flaw could potentially be devastating in combat as well as in managing irreplaceable vital assets. To deal with this problem, we needed them to be able to explore all possible interpretations of a command simultaneously, hierarchically categorize the possible interpretations of the command probabilistically by prioritizing interpretations from the most to the least likely interpretation and most importantly allow the user to choose which interpretation most accurately suited their intent instead of autonomously defaulting to an interpretation the system considered as accurate. It simply meant they needed to be more open minded instead of semantically and syntactically rigid. Once that situation was remedied, we could begin to feed them more advanced abstract/implicit instructions and entrust more management functions to them. Their current greatest vulnerability lay within the potential for misinterpretation and misrepresentation of intent. This potential vulnerability could allow an adversary to gradually amplify false biases/distortions and eventually undermine the logical integrity and judgement ability of these Systems. In AI terms, their weights could be tampered with gradually building up their tendency for false biases till they eventually become misaligned.
To remedy this was the reason for the Seventh Diagnostic Parameter. The Parameter for Light governing Sensory Perception Accuracy. This Parameter was about enhancing the Sensory Accuracy of the Systems and one cannot speak about Accuracy without speaking of Ground Truth. The Principle Of Alignment in Autonomous Systems was simply a measure of how closely a System's output resembled the Ground Truth or Absolute Truth. Misalignment was simply a measure of Deviation from the Truth. Thus to put it bluntly, any System built without an inherent revolution around Ground Truth or Absolute Truth to govern its actions inevitably possessed a high potential for misalignment leading to potentially dangerous behaviour. For our Systems in particular, the Ground Truth governing them were the Moral Principles dictated by our Faith. There was no Ground Truth more potent than one's Faith. One's Faith was a repository of knowledge that did not only contain the Moral Principles governing Human Life but was also a historical archive of the consequences of violating such Principles stretching across Millenia. It was thus the most stable and most consistent Ground Truth for governing such systems due to the reduced probability for logical contradictions across epochs of history and its analysis of the Principles governing Cause and Effect across lifetimes. This was especially vital since our adversary, the Weaver Of Calamity was the ultimate embodiment of a misaligned system.
We now finally understood the functions of Mount Olympus' Health Diagnostic Systems. We just needed to delegate these functions to the citizens of our House and get them to familiarize themselves with these Systems.
