Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 - Sunset Forest

[Spirit Beast: Silver Wolf has been slain.]

[Spirit Beast Ability: Agility has been learned.]

[1,000 True God Coins earned.]

Lev glanced at the notifications appearing before him.

He wasn't particularly surprised by the fact that he had learned the Silver Wolf's ability. After all, the system had already demonstrated that he could acquire skills simply by witnessing or experiencing them.

Instead, another thought suddenly crossed his mind.

"System, does my trait, True God's Talent, have any limitations?"

This was something he needed to understand.

Knowing exactly how far his ability could go would allow him to properly plan his future.

The system quickly responded.

[Yes. The Host can learn any type of skill, talent, ability, and similar power. However, abilities that are inherently tied to another System or Golden Finger are exceptions unless they are specifically extracted.]

Lev's eyes immediately lit up.

"Then what about abilities unique to a bloodline? Can I learn those as well?"

He had already prepared his next question.

The thought alone made him increasingly excited.

If his ability truly had no restrictions when it came to bloodline techniques, then the number of powers he could potentially acquire throughout the Omniverse was practically limitless.

The system answered without hesitation.

[Yes. The trait "True God's Body" can accommodate any form of power that exists within the boundless sky. Learning abilities associated with a bloodline is insignificant in comparison. Possessing a bloodline will merely strengthen the Host's body and provide a shortcut toward becoming stronger.]

Lev fell silent.

"So that's how this trait really works..."

A grin slowly spread across his face.

"Unless the ability originates from another System or Golden Finger, I can learn practically anything."

The more he thought about it, the more frightening the ability became.

Bloodline abilities.

Unique talents.

Combat techniques.

Supernatural powers.

As long as they weren't inherently bound to another System or Golden Finger, he could potentially learn them.

"Just how powerful can a True God really become?"

The question escaped his lips as his excitement continued to grow.

However, Lev soon remembered something important.

The system itself had mentioned an exception.

"Then, is there a way to copy or extract abilities belonging to other Systems or Golden Fingers?"

Since the system had specifically mentioned that such abilities were an exception, there had to be a reason.

And if there was a way around that restriction...

Lev definitely wanted to know.

True God Creation System was already an absurdly powerful cheat, but he knew that the boundless sky was vast.

There had to be countless other Systems and Golden Fingers with unique capabilities.

The thought of obtaining them made Lev's eyes shine with anticipation.

[Yes.]

"How?"

Lev immediately asked.

The system's response followed.

[Based on the rankings of Systems and Golden Fingers, the True God Creation System is positioned at the highest level.]

[It is the only known True God-Level System ever created.]

[As the highest-ranked System, extracting the abilities of other Systems and Golden Fingers is nothing more than a simple task for the True God Creation System.]

[Furthermore, the System possesses the capability to bestow extracted Systems and Golden Fingers upon other individuals.]

Lev's expression became stunned.

"So, there are actually rankings for Systems and Golden Fingers..."

He slowly rubbed his chin.

'This changes things.'

Until now, he had simply assumed that his System was powerful because it had given him an incredible collection of abilities.

But now he realized something far more significant.

His System wasn't merely powerful.

It stood at the very top of the hierarchy.

And if it could even extract other Systems and Golden Fingers...

Then the possibilities were almost limitless.

"Looks like I need to rework my plans."

Lev muttered to himself before eventually closing the System window.

"Still, I need to survive this place first."

No matter how powerful his System was, Lev himself was still at the beginning of his journey.

He couldn't afford to become careless simply because he possessed an absurd cheat.

The boundless sky was vast.

And the Douluo Dalu world was far more dangerous than the peaceful surroundings might suggest.

For now, everything else could wait.

He would deal with those matters when the time came.

Lev took a deep breath and shifted his attention toward the immediate problem.

His newly acquired ability.

"Agility."

He activated the skill.

The moment he did so, Lev immediately noticed a difference.

His body felt lighter.

His movements became sharper and more responsive, and even his perception seemed slightly enhanced.

He didn't even need to test himself to understand the effect.

'So that's how it works.'

Earlier, the Silver Wolf had died almost instantly, leaving him with no opportunity to properly observe its ability.

Now that he had acquired it himself, he could clearly feel the difference.

Lev moved his feet slightly.

Whoosh!

His body instantly darted several meters forward.

His eyes widened.

"Not bad."

A satisfied smile appeared on his face.

Then, another matter came to mind.

"System, give me the conversion rate of True God Coins I can earn from killing Spirit Beasts."

Lev paused for a moment.

"And the Spirit Masters."

True God Coins were something he was severely lacking at the moment.

After all, they were the primary currency of his System, and he had already begun to realize just how important they could become for his future growth.

If killing Spirit Beasts and Spirit Masters could provide him with True God Coins, then he needed to understand exactly how much he could earn from each target.

The system remained silent for a moment.

Then, a new notification appeared before Lev.

[0-100 years old = 1,000 True God Coins]

[101-500 years old = 10,000 True God Coins]

[501-1,000 years old = 250,000 True God Coins]

[1,001-10,000 years old = 500,000 True God Coins]

[10,001-50,000 years old = 750,000 True God Coins]

[50,001-100,000 years old = 1,000,000 True God Coins]

[100,001 - 200,000 years old = 2,500,000 True God Coins]

[200,001 - 500,000 years old = 5,000,000 True God Coins]

[500,001 – 700,000 years old = 7,000,000 True God Coins]

[700,001 - 1,000,000 years old and above = 10,000,000 True God Coins]

...…...

[Spirit Scholar = 10 True God Coins]

[Spirit Master = 100 True God Coins]

[Spirit Grand Master = 1,000 True God Coins]

[Spirit Elder = 5,000 True God Coins]

[Spirit Ancestor = 10,000 True God Coins]

[Spirit King = 50,000 True God Coins]

[Spirit Emperor = 100,000 True God Coins]

[Spirit Saint = 250,000 True God Coins]

[Spirit Douluo = 500,000 True God Coins]

[Titled Douluo = 750,000 True God Coins]

[God Officer = 1,000,000 True God Coins]

[3rd Class Gods = 3,000,000 True God Coins]

[2nd Class Gods = 5,000,000 True God Coins]

[1st Class Gods = 7,000,000 True God Coins]

[God Kings = 10,000,000 True God Coins]

"I don't know how the System categorized them, but it doesn't really matter."

After seeing the conversion rate of True God Coins, Lev couldn't help but feel a little troubled.

'If I want to accumulate a significant amount of wealth, I might have to kill an unimaginable number of creatures.'

The thought was somewhat absurd.

Yet, the more he considered it, the more he realized that the System's currency was a guaranteed path toward becoming increasingly powerful.

With enough True God Coins, he could purchase skills, abilities, items, and countless other things from the System.

In the long run, it was practically a direct path toward omnipotence.

"Sigh..."

Lev shook his head.

"Well, where should I hunt to level up?"

He began considering the locations he knew from the original story.

"The Star Dou Forest is off-limits for now. The Silver Dragon King reigns over that area, and I'm definitely not strong enough to provoke her yet."

Lev frowned slightly.

"The Slaughter City and the Extreme North are also too far from here."

He had only just arrived in this world.

There was no reason to recklessly travel toward dangerous territories before he had even established himself.

"Looks like that only leaves the Sunset Forest."

Lev finally made his decision.

He hadn't chosen this world simply because he wanted to sightsee.

There was a World-Level Quest waiting for him.

He needed to unify the mainland and eventually reign over the God Realm.

If he wanted to accomplish something that ambitious, he needed to become stronger first.

However, before he could leave, Lev suddenly remembered something else.

"System, I didn't feel any drain in power after using Agility."

He looked at his hands curiously.

"Is that because I'm not actually using Spirit Power to activate my skills, but Mana instead?"

It was something he needed to clarify.

After all, if every skill consumed Spirit Power, his current reserves would be far too limited.

The System quickly provided an answer.

[Yes.]

[All skills acquired or learned by the Host will consume the Host's Mana regardless of the nature or origin of the skill.]

[The Spirit Power displayed on the Host's Status Screen is merely a measurement of the amount of power the Host can release and display externally within the current world's power system.]

Lev's eyes widened slightly.

"So that's how it works."

This meant that Spirit Power was essentially his current power level according to the rules of the Douluo Dalu world, while Mana served as the actual energy source for his abilities.

That was certainly convenient.

With everything finally clarified, Lev no longer had any reason to remain here.

He looked up at the sky.

The sun was still relatively high.

A faint smile appeared on his face.

"Better start traveling while the sun is still up."

Lev turned around and began walking.

His destination was the Sunset Forest.

And with that, he finally set off toward the first major step on his journey to becoming the True God's Successor.

As he walked, countless thoughts and emotions swirled within his mind.

Excitement.

Curiosity.

Anticipation.

And, buried beneath all of them, a small amount of uncertainty.

He had no idea what kind of struggles awaited him in this world.

He didn't know what enemies he would eventually encounter.

He didn't know how many hardships he would have to overcome.

But Lev wasn't afraid.

Whatever awaited him, he would face it head-on.

After all, every challenge would only make him stronger.

He looked toward the distant horizon as his smile widened.

This was only the beginning.

And somewhere beyond that horizon awaited the path that would eventually lead him to become a True God.

**********

—5½ Years Later—

On the outskirts of the Sunset Forest...

The Sunset Forest remained as beautiful and mystical as ever.

However, deep within its outskirts, a fierce battle was taking place.

A young man stood in the middle of the forest, calmly facing a massive bear-type Spirit Beast.

Despite the enormous difference in size, there was not a trace of fear on the young man's handsome face.

He was none other than Lev.

Five and a half years had passed since he first arrived in the Douluo Dalu world.

And in those years, Lev had grown considerably stronger.

The battle before him was proof of that.

The Golden Bear roared furiously as it charged toward him, its massive paws capable of crushing an ordinary person with a single strike.

Lev, however, remained completely calm.

His right hand moved continuously through the air.

One name after another appeared from his fingertips.

***Nadare***

***Saiha***

***Homura***

The moment the three names were completed, three enormous Flame Dragons suddenly emerged around Lev.

Their appearances were completely different, but they moved as though they were under his absolute control.

The three dragons suddenly rushed toward one another.

Then—

Boom!

Their bodies began merging together.

Flames erupted violently as the three Flame Dragons fused into a single weapon.

A gigantic flaming sickle appeared in Lev's hands.

The weapon radiated an intense heat that caused the surrounding air to distort.

Fireballs continuously formed around its blade, floating in the air as though waiting for Lev's command.

The Golden Bear roared and charged forward.

Lev's eyes narrowed.

"Too slow."

He swung the flaming sickle.

BOOM!

The attack collided directly with the Golden Bear's body.

The Spirit Beast attempted to endure the attack with its tremendous physical strength, but the sheer heat of the flames quickly overwhelmed it.

Its body began burning from the inside out.

Within moments, the massive Spirit Beast collapsed onto the ground.

Silence returned to the forest.

Then, familiar notifications appeared inside Lev's mind.

[Spirit Beast: Golden Bear has been slain.]

[Spirit Beast Ability: Nature's Heal has been learned.]

[500,000 True God Coins earned.]

Lev glanced at the notifications.

'I've been here for almost six years already.'

He looked toward the distant horizon.

'Tang San should already be on his way to Shrek Academy by now.'

The thought made him pause.

So much time had passed since the day he first arrived in this world.

He had spent nearly all of it in the Sunset Forest, constantly fighting, experimenting with his abilities, and becoming stronger.

But now...

'I think it's finally time.'

A faint smile appeared on Lev's face.

'It's time for me to leave this place and find some companions.'

He had spent enough time alone.

There was still a long road ahead of him, and eventually, he would need people he could trust at his side.

For now, however, there was one thing he wanted to check.

"Show my Status."

The moment Lev spoke, the familiar System interface appeared before him.

'In the nearly six years I've spent here, I've acquired quite a fortune.'

Lev looked through his Status with a thoughtful expression. He couldn't help but notice how much he himself had changed.

The most obvious change was his appearance.

Although he was still only a teenager, the childishness that had once characterized him was almost completely gone.

His face had matured, and there was now a calm, composed aura surrounding him that was uncommon among people his age.

More importantly, it wasn't merely his appearance that had changed.

His mannerisms had changed as well.

The way he spoke.

The way he moved.

The way he reacted to danger.

Everything carried a maturity that could only be forged through experience.

'I've learned so many Spirit abilities over the years that I can't even remember all of them anymore.'

Lev casually scrolled through the list of abilities he had acquired before eventually deciding not to bother looking through every single one.

There were simply too many.

Nearly six years of constant fighting had given him countless abilities, techniques, and skills that could be acquired in this world.

But more than anything else, those years had changed Lev himself.

The person who had first arrived in this world was already gone.

He had experienced too many things for the old Lev to remain unchanged.

Killing Spirit Beasts had eventually become something he could handle without hesitation.

But killing Spirit Masters...

That was different.

Even after doing it several times, Lev still remembered the first time he had taken a human life.

It had been the most difficult experience of his entire journey.

Unlike Spirit Beasts, humans could speak.

They could plead.

They could fear death.

And Lev had been forced to look directly into their eyes before taking their lives.

It had been difficult.

But after years of surviving in the dangerous Sunset Forest, Lev had gradually accepted the harsh reality of this world.

If he didn't become strong enough to kill...

Then eventually, someone else would kill him.

"System, how is my current battle power?"

Lev suddenly asked.

Over the past several years, he had experienced countless battles.

At the beginning, he had been clumsy.

His movements had been inefficient, his decisions had been questionable, and he had often relied too heavily on his overwhelming abilities.

But constant battles had changed that.

He had fought countless Spirit Beasts.

He had been chased.

He had been injured.

He had narrowly escaped death more times than he could remember.

And through all of those experiences, his combat instincts had gradually sharpened.

The once-inexperienced boy had slowly become a seasoned fighter.

He no longer feared facing powerful opponents.

The System soon responded.

[After taking into consideration all of the Host's acquired abilities, combat experience, physical capabilities, and battle techniques, anyone below Rank 95 Titled Douluo is no longer considered an opponent capable of defeating the Host.]

[However, this calculation does not account for individuals possessing extraordinary talent, unique abilities, or exceptional combat potential.]

"Hmmm."

Lev wasn't particularly surprised by the answer.

Under normal circumstances, someone at his current level shouldn't be capable of fighting a Titled Douluo.

After all, the difference between Spirit Masters of different ranks could be enormous.

But Lev was anything but ordinary.

He possessed an incredibly unique Spirit.

He had accumulated countless abilities.

He had extraordinary physical strength.

And, most importantly, he possessed something that completely transcended the conventional limitations of this world's power system.

'So, in terms of pure strength, I probably shouldn't be capable of fighting someone at that level.'

Lev's lips curled upward.

'But I'm not relying on pure strength alone.'

That was the difference.

His abilities gave him possibilities that ordinary Spirit Masters could never imagine.

Lev then glanced at the amount of True God Coins displayed on his Status.

During his third year in this world, something unexpected had happened.

Lev had obtained Soul Bones.

But it wasn't an ordinary Soul Bones.

It was something that even he had never expected to find.

The Dragon God's Soul Bones specifically Torso, Right Arm, and Left Arm..

At the time, Lev had been shocked by his luck.

After fusing with it, however, his future path had essentially been decided.

The power contained within the Soul Bones was simply too valuable to ignore.

From that moment onward, Lev began deliberately prayed every week to acquire the others but fortunately, it wasn't that easy.

In fact, Lev could just buy them in the system store however, he thought that it was a waste of True God Coin.

From that moment on, Lev just decided to wait since he all had the time.

Purchase the remaining Dragon God Soul Bones from the System.

'My luck probably isn't good enough to obtain another one naturally for the time being.'

Lev couldn't help but chuckle at the thought.

Lev then closed his Status window.

He looked toward the distant forest, his eyes filled with determination.

He had spent nearly six years preparing.

Now, it was finally time to step into the wider world.

'Mmmm... One at a time.'

A relaxed smile appeared on his face.

'I'll eventually get all of them.'

Lev closed the System Store and stood up.

"For now, I think it's time to visit Dugu Bo's medicinal garden."

His gaze shifted toward the deeper parts of the Sunset Forest.

Since arriving here, Lev had never ventured too far into the forest.

There hadn't been much reason to.

The outskirts already provided him with more than enough Spirit Beasts to fight and plenty of opportunities to improve himself.

However, one thing had always bothered him.

Despite the countless disturbances he had caused over the years, he had never once encountered Dugu Bo.

'It's strange.'

Lev had fought numerous battles and caused more than a few commotions throughout the forest.

Yet Dugu Bo had never appeared.

Perhaps he simply hadn't noticed Lev.

Or perhaps there was another reason.

Either way, Lev wasn't particularly concerned about it anymore.

"I think it's finally time to leave this forest."

He looked around the familiar surroundings.

He had spent almost six years here.

This forest had been his training ground, his battlefield, and essentially his home.

It was also the place where he had grown from an inexperienced child into the person he was now.

A strange feeling of nostalgia surfaced in his heart.

"It's a shame Nakime can't be summoned here."

Lev looked at the beautiful scenery surrounding him.

Despite the dangers lurking within it, the Sunset Forest was almost like a fairyland.

The lush vegetation, crystal-clear lakes, towering trees, and mysterious atmosphere made the entire place breathtakingly beautiful.

'Nakime would definitely love this place.'

Unfortunately, she couldn't come out.

Five years ago, Lev had attempted to summon Nakime after realizing just how lonely it could be living alone in an unfamiliar world.

However, the System had informed him that summons could not be brought into another world unless they had originally been summoned there.

There was, however, an exception.

An item known as the Force Summoning Card.

It allowed any of his summons to be forcibly summoned, bypassing the restriction.

Unfortunately, Lev didn't have one.

At the same time, he had also discovered that every supernatural skill he acquired from the worlds he visited would be forcibly locked the moment he traveled to another world. He came to this realization after discovering that he could no longer use the Blood Demon Art he had learned from Nakime..

The only exceptions were the combat skills—which the system classified as skills that did not rely on external power sources such as mana—and skills that were obtained directly from the System Store or those acquired through special means, such as the Immortality he had obtained.

Any skill that did not meet these conditions would remain inaccessible after he left the world where he had acquired it. Such skills could only be unlocked again if he returned to the world of their origin, returned to the world where he had originally learned them, or completed the World Mission associated with the world he had entered.

"Well..."

Lev suddenly smiled.

"I think it's time to summon some companions."

After nearly six years of living alone, Lev had finally realized just how lonely his journey had become.

Having someone—or several someones—to accompany him would certainly make things more interesting.

"System, use ten Random Summoning Cards for me."

Lev didn't hesitate.

He had already accumulated enough cards, and there was no reason to keep them unused.

[Ten Random Summoning Cards have been used.]

The moment the notification appeared, the surrounding space suddenly trembled.

A brilliant light erupted as a magic circle came out from the ground.

"Whoa..."

Lev instinctively raised his arm to shield his eyes.

The dazzling light quickly spread throughout the area, illuminating the forest like a second sun.

One figure appeared.

Then another.

And another.

Until, eventually...

Ten figures stood before Lev.

The light slowly faded.

Lev lowered his arm and stared at the beings who had just been summoned.

For several seconds, he remained completely silent.

Then—

"Hahahaha!"

Lev suddenly grabbed his head and burst into laughter.

"There's no way!"

His laughter echoed throughout the forest.

He had expected the Random Summoning Cards to produce all kinds of possibilities.

But even among all the countless beings that existed throughout the Omniverse...

He had somehow managed to summon these ten.

'What kind of luck is this?'

Lev could only laugh.

He hadn't expected this outcome in the slightest.

Looking at the ten summoned beings standing before him, Lev couldn't help but wonder what kind of future awaited him now.

For nearly six years, he had traveled this world alone.

But from this moment onward...

That was about to change.

The future of Douluo Dalu was about to become far more interesting.

*********

—The next morning—

Sunset Forest,

The morning sun slowly rose above the dense canopy of the Sunset Forest, casting golden rays across the trees.

After waking up and preparing himself, Lev stood up and stretched his body.

"I have to go somewhere for a while."

He turned toward the woman standing nearby.

"Tsunade, I'll be leaving for a bit. Look after them for me, will you?"

The woman nodded calmly.

She was none other than Tsunade Senju, one of the ten beings Lev had summoned the previous day.

And she wasn't the only one.

Nearby, nine small figures could be seen playing around the forest.

Shukaku.

Matatabi.

Isobu.

Son Gokū.

Kokuō.

Saiken.

Chōmei.

Gyūki.

And Kurama.

The nine Tailed Beasts were currently in their younger forms, running around and playing with one another as though the dangerous Sunset Forest were nothing more than their personal playground.

"I'll wait for your return, Master."

Tsunade bowed slightly.

"As for these little things, leave them to me."

The moment she finished speaking, one by one, they slowly turned toward Tsunade.

Lev couldn't help but smile at the amusing scene.

"Then I'll leave them to you."

He turned around and took his first step.

Before leaving, however, Lev opened the System Map he had purchased from the System Store.

The map displayed the entire Douluo Continent in remarkable detail.

It had cost him a fortune.

But after looking at the information it provided, Lev felt that every True God Coin had been worth it.

His finger moved across the map until it stopped at a particular location.

The Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.

A faint smile appeared on Lev's face.

'Since I'm leaving the Sunset Forest anyway, I might as well collect a few treasures before I go.'

He had already decided.

This time, he wasn't going to follow the original storyline exactly.

He was going to take whatever opportunities he could.

And the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well was undoubtedly one of the greatest treasures currently available to him.

'After all... why should I leave these treasures for someone else when I can simply take them for myself?'

Lev closed the map.

He didn't waste any more time.

With a burst of speed, his body shot forward.

He rapidly moved deeper into the Sunset Forest, heading directly toward the location marked on his map.

Behind him, Tsunade remained standing calmly while the nine young Tailed Beasts cautiously watched her.

And somewhere deep within the forest...

Lev's next opportunity awaited him.

The fate of the original story was about to be disturbed once again.
