She was suprised at his words and before she could say a word, a tall buxom redhead marched up to him. She was beautiful but not as stunning as Li-li's entrancing and tempting appearance.
"Jia-Hao, who is this peasant?" She screamed in fluent Mandarin. "And why are you touching her?"
She was Quing-Jin, one of Hao-Hao's admirers. She was a dog spirit and had fire magic. She had tried every trick in her book to make Hao-Hao sleep with her and if that happens, she will bear his child.
And he would have no choice but to marry her. Seeing him hold a woman, much more enticing than her made her blood boil.
"You will wake the child up." Li-li warned.
"And do I care? Who is this bastard? Hao-Hao, tell me."
She pulled Li-li aside, causing her to fall and Mei-Mei fell out of her arms. Hao-Hao moved at superhuman speed and caught the wide-awake child.
Quin got angry and dragged Mei-Mei away from Hao-Hao. She began to cry and asked her system to translate every word that she hears from Mandarin to English.
Everyone were staring at them and Hao-Hao rushed to Li-li and helped her up. When she had stood up, he noticed a largebruise on her arms.
Her eyes were filled with tears and she buried her head in his shoulder. Mei-Mei pressed her face on his chest and sobbed quietly.
"Are you mad?" Quin looked like a balloon about to burst. "Why would you protect that bitch?"
Hao-Hao walked up to her and slapped her as hard as he could. She was shocked and couldn't speak.
"If you dare touch her or the child again, you will witness something worse than death." He turned to Jun-Jie, who was not too far away and said, "Jun, come with me."
He grabbed Li-li's hand and took her back to the ship's deck. She was still crying and he wondered why her bruise hurt so much.
"Let's see your arm." He closed the room door and zipped her dress down.
"What are you doing?" She was a bit embarrassed by his actions.
"Take the dress off. I won't be able to heal your arm properly with the sleeves in the way."
She hesitated, then took it off. Hao-Hao had to gasp. She had a beautiful body and a very slender waist. He controlled himself as he took a closer look at her injury.
"It's poison." He felt so mad, he could strangle Quin. "She injected poison into your body when she held your hand. It isn't potent enough to kill you though."
Mei-Mei licked her paws and watched her father take the poison out of her. As soon as he finished, he pressed her against the wall.
