It was a nightmare for Leon to navigate the forest with all of these trees making it look like it was nighttime 24/7. Unlike the other children in his neighbourhood, Leon didn't really spend a lot of time I'm the darkness. This made his vision in the darkness extremely unreliable but he had high resistance to bright lights and sudden flashes.
He looked into the sky and noticed somewhat glowing berries at the bottom of the tree canopy. Finally something he can actually see. He made up his mind to reach the berries as if they werent safe, they wouldn't be glowing. He wrapped his limbs around the tree and latched onto it. He shimmered up the side of the trunk until he was within reaching distance of a branch. A small stretch later he was now dangling on the canopy with one hand.
A few monkey bar esque moments later and he had the berries at the base of the tree. Now that they were this close Leon truly understood just how bright they were. They were like super expensive light bulbs that barely change temperature.
Bottoms up! He ate the berries quickly and immediately felt refreshed and rejuvenated. looks like the slight risk to those berries being poisonous had been averted. He did think they tasted strange though. Not really bad but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.
