"Did I miss my invitation, or do you normally dress this gorgeous to roam around your house?"
"What the f**k! You scared the shit out of me!" Aisha yelled. "Don't do that anymore, Nessy!" she warned, shooting a hard glare.
"Okay, okay," Nessy laughed. "You look really pretty, and that dress is absolute glory," she went on admiringly. "What is the occasion?" she asked, honestly curious.
"It is the conclave…" Aisha breathed. "It's today."
"It's today?!" Nessy looked very surprised. "You should have told me earlier—I really want to be there for you," she said.
"I told you already," Aisha said seriously, "you are a god, and gods are not allowed in the conclave of high demons, no matter your relationship with me."
"Okay, okay, fine!" Nessy sighed.
"I'll be fine, okay," Aisha assured her.
"Alright," Nessy reluctantly agreed.
"By the way, why are you here?" Aisha asked. "Don't you have a son to breastfeed at home?" She looked at her.
