Though it was still dark, the reflection of Ra's moonlight shone brightly on the river's surface, making it look magical and beautiful. The water flowed peacefully, and there was no sign at all of any abnormality. The only thing that did not fit in was their presence there.
"Okay! We are all here now, demon lord," Geb turned to Aposis. "Prove your claims about En-Naddaha's presence here, because I don't feel it at all."
He was very certain Aposis was playing mind games with them. He just wanted to make them believe something grave and more dangerous was going on while all they needed to be worried about was what happened to his consort and The supreme father's hold on her.
"Then you must be a fool, earth god," Aposis spat as he walked past Geb, who chose to ignore him and let him do whatever he was going to do.
He walked closer to the river and bent down, dipping his hand into the water as he called her name in an almost whisper, "En-Naddaha…"
