Journee contorted her face and lowered her head. Kay removed his palm from her mouth and then hugged Journee from the sides.
"What is this family talking about? When did Journee try to stop Zachary? What is going on? So many secrets! And all three keep protecting each other," thought Archer.
"Will…" Chris spoke up, but William jerked his head to look at him, and with just a show of his forefinger, he shut Chris up.
Kay let Journee cry on his shoulder. For a minute, no one spoke. Journee finally stopped crying, straightened her back and took a deep breath. She let go of Kay and William and walked towards the door. Before grabbing the doorknob, she turned to look at Archer. She sniffled and, in a crisp, clear voice, said, "Sorry! Even if it's 1% my fault, I am sorry!"
