Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

You know, when I said that "If I ever died, I want to be reborn with amazing power" I didn't mean this…

As I survey my surroundings, all that meets my gaze are desolate landscapes and dilapidated structures. The predominant hue of red saturates everything, creating an atmosphere that feels undeniably toxic.

'Ok, so… where in the nine hell am I?' I was confused, as to how I got here and what this place is.

As I glanced at my hand, I couldn't help but notice the darkened and roughened texture of my skin. To my astonishment, it also appeared to have grown larger.

Taking a closer look at myself, words fail to capture the sheer surprise I felt when I realized I resembled a colossal demon. My appearance had undergone such drastic alterations that I questioned whether I could still be considered human.

But what actually captured my attention was the strange white net symbol on my chest, it's gives off a sense of being trapped or a sealed of some kind.

While poking around my body to see what other changes I have, I learned that I don't have a proper physical eyes, but I can see just fine. Also did you know that I have two large black horn protruding out of my head which I think is really cool.

While I'm still doing self examination on myself, I had failed to notice the gradual emergence of numerous creatures around me.

After a few minutes, I finally became aware of their presence. There was quite a variety among them, ranging in size from large to small, and it seemed there were about thirty in total.

"Damn, when did they start appearing?" I muttered, watching these monsters with a mix of caution and curiosity.

Having never been in any kind of fight I ready myself as I saw them rushing towards me with hunger. As I watched them start closing in on me, I feel my surroundings stop to a slow as my body is surging with adrenaline.

Making my move, I ran towards one of the larger one closest to me and just let my instincts take over. In a split second, I unleashed a massive swipe of my sharpen claw, splitting the monster in two, top and bottom.

I was momentarily surprised by how easy it was to slash the monster in half, but I calm down as I dodged a strike from another large monster before that one is also split into two halves as well.

Getting a bit excited, I ran and sent out flurry of strikes towards the group of monsters in front of me and killing four of them in the process. Relying on my newly heightened strength and agility, I moved from one place to another, killing these monsters with a swipe of my hand.

My body moved with an almost supernatural grace as I dodged their lunges and counterattacked with precision.

The satisfaction of each successful hit coursed through me, emboldening my resolve. I could sense the creatures' surprise and hesitation as they struggled to keep up with my ferocity. It was as if a dormant warrior spirit had awakened within me, guiding my every move.

As the one sided fight waged on, I adapted to the creatures' tactics, exploiting their weaknesses and using the environment to my advantage. I utilized the debris from the ruined buildings as makeshift weapons, smashing and hurling them with deadly accuracy.

Despite the odds stacked against me, I refused to yield.

The hunger for survival burned fiercely within me, matching the hunger that drove these creatures. With each defeated opponent, a surge of confidence surged through me, fueling my determination to win this life-or-death struggle.

As the last of the creatures fell to the ground, defeated, I stood there, panting and covered in their viscera. The once-toxic atmosphere now felt charged with a triumphant energy. I had faced the unknown, embraced my new self and emerged victorious.

And as I looked around at the barren landscapes and ruins, I knew that my journey was far from over. There were more challenges to face, more mysteries to unravel, and I was ready to face them head-on, armed with newfound strength and an unyielding spirit.
