Chapter 9 - The First Elf

God had much work ahead of him; a multitude of races to create, suitable habitats to allow them to thrive, and an order of creation implemented to ensure they do not fight to extinction quickly.

Thinking for a while, God decided to establish an evolution system, one he believed he had thought of himself. Though, it was deep within his inherited memories.

He began creating the beasts, both predator and pray, to establish a fully functioning food chain that would last for centuries, until a species or two evolved.

He then began to visualise and materialise a giant snake like creature with a large jaw and spiked teeth. These were Chinese styled land dragons; unlike western dragons, they could not fly and had thin long bodies and a powerful bite.

Another creature began to come into existence next to the wingless dragon; it was similar in size to the dragon but a bright, colourful bird with patterns filling its body. The tails especially stood out to be beautiful and looked akin to a painting. Though the giant bird was colourful, it had a dominant red colouring and oozed a powerful aura not inferior to the dragon. This was the first Phoenix.

God wished to introduce intelligent and powerful primordial beings that would lead their respective races for a long time, time enough so that each race could flourish without the need of backing such as them.

As these powerful creatures of legend were currently in the process of creation, God decided to add another race to earths surface at this time.

Teleporting over to an empty space deep within the north most continent on Earth's surface, God raised his hands and the planet obeyed his command. Dense forests rose in a 500 mile radius, filling a third of the continent with greenery.

This was to be the ancestral home of the Elves, and the birthplace of the Primordial Elf.

Picking a spot in the centre of the forest below him, God waved his hand and used much of his power to begin creating a female Elf to the creators standards. A beauty comparable to the primordial succubus with a different taste, an Elf ancestor for the history books.

She had blonde hair down to her shoulders, a cold gaze filled with pride and measurements in perfect taste with Tao Jue's standards. Of course, this was a coincidence, yes, a coincidence.

God had used even more power than he did when creating the beasts, to create this Elf. After all, the primordial elf will need the power to fend off threats in the form of beasts and men in the future, and as noted in Tao Jue's fiction memories, Elves were usually the enemy of alliances of Dwarfs, Men and other races due to their secluded lifestyle and appreciated looks. He did not want them to be enslaved or treated bad in this planet, although it wasn't likely to be the case, it didn't hurt to give the elves a little extra power.

Due to God not being on the same power level as the creator, or even close for that matter, it would take many centuries just to create these primordial mortals. They would stand near the peak of the planet initially, but once they learn to manipulate mana and faith, they could stand to elevate themselves to Demi-Gods and one more through much hardship to a God in the future.

——

Meanwhile, Tao Jue was enjoying himself with the succubus primordial Lilith in her castle's quarters.

Not only had he spent the last few years getting to understand her and know her well, much to the ire of some Archangel females, but he connected with her on an emotional level.

He had no intentions on taking a wife or even inventing the concept of marriage, but indulging in the flesh as a pastime for enjoyment was common for this duo over the years. Perhaps In the future this would change, as Lilith prayed and hoped.

In actuality, Lilith had a worship and reverent attachment towards Tao Jue, which made him uncomfortable at times. If he wanted a partner, he would prefer to look elsewhere once he was a mortal. Meeting someone that does not understand his background as their creator would allow him and his partner to be themselves, believing this to be the best course for marriage and more. But this was a long time away.

After saying farewell to Lilith, to which she requested him to come back frequently, he flew towards Earth to check on its development.

Finding the continents in wildly different climates, he smiled in relief.

The north most continent was filled with lush greenery as seen in typical rainforests but on a huge scale, over a third of this continent.

The second continent on the east side of the planet was covered in snow, both plains and forests and other various sub-climates to accommodate a multitude of different races and plant life. This was likely to be filled with a beast-human hybrid race that could adapt to its colder temperatures through fur or one of the sub races of humans in the near future.

The third and fourth continents on the south and West sides were a mix of different climates and islands surrounding them, ensuring these two land masses and islands could be inhabited by any future race.

Grinning in satisfaction, Tao Jue called God over to tell him it was a job well done. God greatly appreciated the praise and made small talk before heading over to supervise his creations. Soon the new earth would be home to mortal beings, in a time not far off, he too would live his life on Earth, watching over his planet and at the same time, subtly moulding it into a civilisation able to defend itself from outside threats.
