"Mommy, what is pregnancy?" Hannah Mercer caught onto the key point and blurted out this awkward question.
"Silly sister, pregnancy means Ruby has a little sister in her belly."
Alexander Mercer said while munching on a chicken drumstick, his mouth greasy as he talked.
"Sister? Mommy, I want a brother, can I have a brother?"
Under Christopher Moore's guidance, Hannah's speech was much more normal now, her big eyes filled with curiosity and longing.
"Uh..." Ruby Mercer didn't know how to answer. If it were just the two of them, mother and daughter, she could gently explain, but the elders were present now.
