Just when Dinah Quinn thought it would remain quiet, Julian Shepley spoke up.
"This kind of thing won't happen again!"
Dinah Quinn looked up, unable to see the man's expression, only his dense eyelashes and tightly pressed lips.
Dinah Quinn curled her lips slightly but said nothing!
When Julian Shepley saw her only curling her lips, his expression turned serious.
He knew that wasn't a genuine smile.
It was a self-mocking or indifferent disregard kind of smile.
"What are you thinking? Say it out loud!"
Dinah Quinn met Julian Shepley's gaze, "It was just a scratch, it won't happen again!"
"Or maybe not let me run into your ex again?"
"Or perhaps not let me be a scapegoat again?"
Julian Shepley's face darkened, "You're not big, but your thoughts sure are plenty!"
Dinah Quinn looked at him, saying nothing!
"Not happy, want to sleep with me tonight?"
As Julian Shepley finished speaking, Dinah instinctively flinched!
This flinch caused Julian Shepley's face to darken again!
