Rune sighed as she stared down at the world below. He was holding onto one of Trina's talons feet as the Harpy's wings carried them both higher and higher toward Elysium.
The world below looked like a smudge mix of color, set the details of the land were still faintly visible. When contrasting with the orange hues of the setting sun that lit up the sky, Rune could only think of how beautiful it was.
Yet he couldn't enjoy it as much as he wished. He was overcome with a weary feeling.
"What are you thinking about?" Trina asked the question while glancing down at him as she flapped her wings.
"I was just thinking about how long it has been since I have been able to rest," Rune said.
He had been fighting non-stop for as long as he could remember now, and he was tired. Even during the slow moments where he was able to spend time with his girls and his daughter, the ever present danger that the future presented lurked in the background.
