Chapter 932 - Chapter 931: Glenn's stupidity

"Enough. Shut up!" Natasha Romanoff snapped, frowning sharply. "Homelander, you are the real purebred experimental product here."

Tony Stark said in a low voice, "Ignore this bastard. Just wait—his reckoning will come soon enough."

He then turned to Bruce Banner and tried to comfort him. "Bruce, let the past stay in the past. Dwelling on that pain won't do you any good. At the very least, you can't turn into the big green guy right now to vent all that anger."

Outside the screen, Bruce Banner could only seethe helplessly. But in the future video, the scene shifted back to the desert military base. Confined in the water tank, Bruce Banner was subjected to neural stimulation, forcibly reliving memories from his childhood.

In an instant, boundless rage flooded his entire being.

At that moment, Bruce Banner could no longer suppress himself. He began transforming immediately—shattering the tank and roaring toward the sky.

Inside the observation room, Glenn ordered the release of high-concentration anesthetic gas. The result? The Hulk merely sneezed. Completely useless.

The enraged Hulk smashed through the laboratory wall and burst out. This was, after all, a military base—and Glenn had made preparations.

He quickly ordered personnel to spray the Hulk with a special adhesive foam. Surprisingly, it worked. Layer after layer of sticky foam trapped the green behemoth in the corridor.

At this moment, General Ross also discovered the rampaging Hulk and immediately ordered Glenn and the others to evacuate.

Glenn refused.

Not only did he disobey the order, he commanded the base to be sealed off and personally picked up a specially modified power drill to confront the Hulk. He wanted revenge—and he coveted the Hulk's power, eager to obtain firsthand samples.

"Relax," Glenn said with a sinister grin, pointing the drill at the Hulk's eye. "This'll only hurt a little."

At that moment, the video paused, and a new question appeared:

[Will the Hulk ultimately escape the military base?]

[A: Yes

B: No]

Natasha Romanoff shook her head. "In my world, General Ross was just as obsessed—and every operation ended in failure."

Tony Stark shrugged. "Looks like this one's not hard, right?"

They all had confidence in the Hulk. The angrier he became, the stronger he grew. Unless something bizarre like the Ant-Man incident happened again, there was no way a military base like this could hold him.

As soon as the countdown began, the players eagerly slammed the buzzers.

This time, Natasha Romanoff won the right to answer. She smiled slightly. "Looks like beginner's luck really is on my side today. I choose A."

Tony Stark nodded. "Same here—A."

The countdown ended. The correct answer was revealed—A. Natasha gained 4 points, while the other players each received 1 point.

However, instead of playing the answer video, the light screen immediately presented another question:

[Who killed Glenn Talbot?]

[A: Bruce Banner

B: David Banner

C: Glenn Talbot himself

D: Thaddeus Ross]

"Two questions in a row—now this one's tricky," Tony Stark said, resting his chin on his hand as he pondered. "My gut says the answer is D. He just disobeyed General Ross's orders—there's no way that ends well for him."

Erik Lehnsherr glanced at him. "Under normal logic, shouldn't the answer be A or B?"

Tony shrugged. "Don't forget—this quiz game loves to mislead us."

Although Tony said D, he didn't actually believe it. He was deliberately laying a trap for Homelander.

Unfortunately for him, Homelander wasn't that easy to fool. After a moment's thought, he decided to simply follow the crowd.

Soon, the countdown began. This time, no one was eager to buzz in—no one felt confident. The seconds ticked away, and only at the very last moment did the players press the button.

This time, Tony Stark won the right to answer.

Ironically, that "luck" might not have been a good thing.

Tony scanned the four options, clenched his teeth, and said, "I'll gamble on C."

It was a risk.

On the surface, option C seemed the least likely—Glenn didn't look like someone who would commit suicide.

But if the quiz game was planning a twist, then C would be the correct answer.

Erik Lehnsherr glanced at Tony and also chose C. Then Natasha Romanoff, Bruce Banner, and Homelander followed suit—every one of them selected C.

Tony spread his hands. "You all trust me that much?"

"Well," Natasha said with a wink, "even if we're wrong, you're still the one losing the most points."

The result was announced moments later:

[Congratulations to player Tony Stark for answering correctly! +4 points]

[Player Natasha Romanoff, player Bruce Banner, player Erik Lehnsherr, and player Homelander also answered correctly. +1 point each]

Tony let out a long breath. Finally, he thought. 'My score's back in the positives. That took forever.'

He felt his luck in this quiz game had been abysmal—especially those bizarre animated parallel worlds that had cost him a ton of points.

After the two questions concluded, the light screen finally resumed the video.

In the footage, Glenn grinned viciously as he prepared to drill into the Hulk's eye. Though the Hulk was bound in foam, he simply flexed his facial muscles and flung Glenn away, sending him crashing to the ground.

The Hulk exerted himself again—the foam restraining him began to collapse. Everyone else retreated, but Glenn remained inexplicably confident. He demanded a large-caliber M2 round from his subordinates and fired directly at the Hulk just as he was about to break free.

The result was disastrous.

The bullet struck the Hulk—and bounced straight back.

Glenn turned his head just in time to see it.

A violent explosion of sparks followed, engulfing him in flames.

Outside the screen, Erik Lehnsherr scoffed. "Idiots like that—I honestly don't know what goes through their heads."

Natasha Romanoff crossed her arms and shook her head. "They'd already confirmed that bullets bounce off the Hulk's skin. Why would he think a larger caliber would make a difference?

"And in such a confined space, did he seriously not consider the risk of self-harm?"

None of the other soldiers fired—but this fool, brimming with blind confidence, pulled the trigger.

In the end, he wasn't killed by the Hulk—

He was killed by his own stupidity.
