Chapter 864 - Chapter 863: Starlight’s Training on Themyscira

[Congratulations to player Stephen Strange. You have received the Mystery Reward:

Timeline Manipulation Privilege (1/1 Use)]

A golden sphere of light shot toward Stephen, enveloping him entirely.

"Wow!" Thor let out a whistle and explained to the others,

"Rewards from the Quiz game vary in quality—you can usually tell by the color. Gold is extremely rare. Then there's purple, while the more common ones are blue or white."

He rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

"If I'm not mistaken, I think Tony once got this reward too."

"What does it do exactly? 'Timeline manipulation' sounds really powerful!" Annie asked with curiosity.

Thor shrugged.

"No idea. I've never seen Tony actually use it."

Meanwhile, in the Marvel universe, Tony Stark was watching the reward announcement unfold on the light screen.

Pepper, sitting beside him, asked curiously,

"Tony, didn't you also get a timeline reward?"

"Not quite the same," Tony replied, shaking his head.

"Mine was a 'Timeline Convergence Privilege.' If I use it, it will erase all other versions of me in alternate universes—only this one timeline would remain."

"What?!" Pepper gasped, covering her mouth.

"You're saying if you use it, all those other worlds… the people in them would just die?"

"Technically, no… but yeah, pretty much." Tony gave her a comforting pat on the shoulder.

"Now you see why I never talked about it much?"

Then his expression turned serious.

"But the Stephen participating in this round of the Quiz is different. Based on the name alone, his version of the reward sounds way more powerful than mine. And considering the future videos showed him destroying the world… I'm honestly a little worried for his universe."

Pepper looked concerned too but tried to reassure him.

"Don't overthink it. Bruce is probably already on top of it."

Tony snorted.

"Please. He's swamped. His own world's falling apart, and he's got to organize people to deal with Vought and the Seven. No way he has time for this right now."

Tony frowned, mentally noting he might need to pay the Multiverse Defenders a visit—though he'd barely returned himself.

Since the Multiverse Defenders was established, not only Bruce Wayne but many other superheroes had been up to their necks in work.

It used to be that each hero just had to manage their own territory. But now? They had to look after the entire world—and even jump between parallel worlds.

Even though the Multiverse Defenders had recruited plenty of superheroes, they were still stretched thin.

Back in the Eternal Space, Stephen Strange remained completely wrapped in golden light. No one could tell what he was experiencing.

After some discussion, the screen displayed the next reward recipient.

Annie's name lit up—this time not in gold, but a glowing purple aura.

[Congratulations to player Annie for obtaining the mystery reward:

Amazon Heart of Wonder Woman]

A purple sphere of light flew toward her. Annie took a deep breath, clearly nervous about what was about to happen.

In an instant, the purple light struck and enveloped her completely.

Annie felt like she had sunk into a warm spring. Her body was enveloped in heat and comfort.

Her consciousness, however, soared—drifting high above the skies, carried by the wind to a breathtaking island surrounded by azure seas.

This was Themyscira, home of the Amazons—an island inhabited solely by women.

But not just any women. Warriors. Proud, fearless, and battle-hardened.

Annie's awareness merged with one of them—an elegant, powerful figure named Diana Prince, the most skilled and celebrated Amazon on the island.

From a young age, Diana had trained tirelessly.

She never slacked. Always pushing herself to the limit, she honed both her skills and her spirit through the harshest of conditions.

Annie had once admired Queen Maeve. But now, her admiration shifted to this Amazon warrior.

The strength and courage of the Amazons hadn't come out of nowhere. It was the result of relentless discipline, hard work, and sacrifice—years of training, without pause or mercy.

Annie had always believed she was already working hard—being pushed by her mother, juggling public appearances, performances, and combat training, with barely any personal time.

But what she saw on Themyscira humbled her.

These warriors trained in raging storms, against crashing waves, roaring as they thrust spears and drew bows—unyielding, unafraid.

Through their spiritual bond, Annie could feel what Diana felt during training—the exhaustion, the searing pain from injuries, and the mind-numbing monotony of endless drills.

The Amazons had superhuman potential, but their path to strength was anything but easy. Annie truly understood now—and it changed her.

She grew alongside Diana, enduring the trials of war and time...

And then, her eyes opened.

She blinked, disoriented. In that brief moment, her soul had spent over a decade on Themyscira.

She had matured alongside Diana, learned, suffered, and grown.

To the others watching, though, only a single heartbeat had passed.

"Hey, Annie, you okay?" Hughie asked curiously.

To them, the purple light had only surrounded her for an instant. But in that fleeting moment, her entire demeanor had transformed.

Her presence was different—confident, resolute, stronger.

Annie raised her hands, clenched them into fists, then relaxed. A confident smile spread across her face.

"I'm great. Never better. If I see that bastard Deep again, I'll break his nose without hesitation. And not even Homelander could stop me!"

Hughie stared at her in awe.

"Wait… are you saying this reward made you strong enough to fight Homelander?!"

Annie shook her head.

"No. I didn't gain enough power to defeat him physically. But mentally? I'm stronger than him. I'm not afraid of him anymore."

Before, when she saw future footage of Homelander's psychotic behavior, she said nothing. But deep down, she'd been shaken—paralyzed by fear.

Now, that fear was gone.
