I watched them move behind reinforced glass—two sisters with claws, fur, and amber eyes. Both being mutants and having similar powers and same side effect of physical changes albeit both looking quite different.
Feral and Thornn. Real names Maria Callasantos and Lucia Callasantos respectively.
Both having Meta-Human ability Feline Physiology. Though they gained different appearnaces.
But reverting them back to their human form is what I was aiming for. After all they were pretty powerful mutants.
If trained well they could even go toe-to-toe with even the Beast aka Hank McCoy.
GENESIS-5 recorded their biometrics as they sparred—beast against beast. Every swipe, leap, and roll sent neural data streaming into my console. Their X-Gene signatures was stable— better to say they were almost synchronized.
Siblings.
Same environmental triggers. Nearly identical gene clusters.
But not identical expressions.
Feral's mutation leaned toward aggression—shorter temper, faster reflex arc, more extreme physiological enhancement. Thornn's expression was more balanced—slightly less powerful, but less volatile.
They were the opposite of Masque. Not falling apart—just stuck to their beast form.
Their genes weren't mutating uncontrollably. They were locked in an animal state. Frozen in survival mode. Like a switch stuck in "on."
And that's when it struck me.
They weren't meant to look like this all the time.
Their mutations had stabilized into one permanent state only because no one had ever shown them how to control it.
I tapped commands into the console, pulling up archived transformation data from other sibling mutatns whom I had cured of their physical changes, Brute and Hump, although their case was different.
In case of Brute and Hump they both did not need the physical changes. Their skin color changed to green and blue. they gained extra appendages like fins which did not have any use. Hence it was easy to cure them.
But Feral and Thornn's case was different. There form was more like Beasts. They gained more power and agility in their beast form. And they never changed to their human form because they did not know how.
But that was going to change soon.
Then I started coming up with a new serum. A theoretical serum, a formula meant to toggle mutation expression at will.
With conditioning, training, and a revised serum protocol—they could be free from their beast form.
Soon they would be able to change from Human form to Beast form and vice versa at will.
Like Beast from the future—but better.
I leaned forward.
Behind the glass, Feral leapt, twisted, and slammed Thornn into the padded wall.
I smiled faintly.
They'd need more training. Combat discipline. Meditation, even. But if I was right, they would become the first dual-state mutants in the Morlock registry.
In the adjoining bay, two men stood quietly, weapons slung across their backs, wearing identical black coats with gold-threaded trim.
They were the other two mutant siblings, Brute and Hump.
Once, they'd looked like monsters. Hump's back hunched like a stone bulge. Brute's face had been stretched into a distorted snarl—mutant tissue that hadn't stopped growing.
But that was before I intervened.
Their cases had been simpler than Masque's. Strong. Stable. Their genes weren't corrupted—just… overactive.
I'd used a milder variant of the stabilizer—stripped of suppressants, focused on form alignment. Tissue normalization. Enhanced musculoskeletal coordination.
Now?
They looked human.
Still massive—nearly seven feet tall, with broad frames and muscle that looked carved from iron. But human all the same. Square jaws. Clear eyes. No deformities. No extra appendages.
Brute had tested in the 2-ton lifting range. He could run a mile in under three minutes and break concrete with his fists. Hump wasn't far behind—less strength, more speed. Both were resistant to blunt trauma, cold, heat, and most impacts short of military-grade rounds.
I had them trained—physically and mentally as the perfect bodyguards.
And then… I gave them to Emma.
After all I did not need them for protection because I already copied their abilities and even combined them with by existing [Peak Human Physique]. But it will take time for the ability to be integrated.
And Emma needed protection. Even though she has telepathy that does not mean there are no ways to block her powers. And although I trained her in her Diamond Form it still wouldn't be enough in the face of some extraordinary powerfull brutes.
And that's were Brute and Hump came in. No one suspected two towering bodyguards in tailored suits to be anything but high-end muscle. But if anyone so much as raised a hand toward her—they'd lose the whole arm.
Cause their power was literally meant for it. Brute and Hump possessed superhuman strength and endurance. They were also taller than a normal human and possessed superior reflexes. They were also apparently highly resistant to injury, although not against gunshots.
Emma hadn't said it aloud. But I knew she was grateful for it. And which girl wouldn't be happy to have such a caring Lover like me.
In a world that hated mutants, I'd given her two powerful normal human looking highly trained mutants bodyguards for protection. And that spoke volumes of my feelings for her.
And that's what mattered the most.
Later, in my private chamber, I reviewed the genetic overlays of Feral and Thornn.
Side by side, the potential was obvious.
Then I did some mental calculations and accessed the computer in my mind.
Yep in my mind.
With [Personal Mind Manipulation] and my powerful mind I upgraded the Computer I had made in my Mindscape. And now I could simulate things in my mind. Although that cause quite a pain. After all I used my mind for such heavy tasks. Even though I have a powerful mind it still was way behind to be like Sage's mutant abilities.
But no worries. Soon I will reach that level. But for now I could use it for short amount of time. And then feed the data in GENESIS-5 to continue the rest.
So here was the simulated file.
[Dual-State Stabilizer Variant]
[Subjects: Feral and Thornn]
[Expected Results: Controlled Transformation (HUMAN ⇄ MUTANT)]
[Risk Level: Moderate]
[Training Required: High]
[Projected Success: 68.3% (current model)]
A calculated risk.
But the reward?
Proof that mutation didn't have to be a sentence. That even those "born wrong" could become right.
