Basil Palmer was very pleased, and he drank quite a bit of alcohol that night.
After dinner, Ava Kent helped Amy Goodman clear the table. Julius Goodman suddenly walked over: "I'll take the teacher home first, you wait for me at home."
"???"
Ava looked puzzled, wasn't this meant for his mom?
Then, not sure what she remembered, Ava's ears quietly turned red.
Julius was already supporting Basil out the door. Ava helped put the dishes into the kitchen, and Amy Goodman smiled kindly, "Ava, focus on your studies, go back and rest early. I'll handle the rest."
Hearing this, Ava didn't insist. She hadn't stayed at home for a while and indeed needed time to tidy up her room.
Returning to her long-lost home, the yard was covered with fallen leaves. Fortunately, it hadn't rained recently, or who knows how bad the smell inside would have been.
