The next morning.
Clara Sutton stood at the doorway in a French-style dress, watching the tall figure on the phone. She waited for a moment until he responded with 'Got it,' ended the call, and turned to look at her.
"Grandma called, asking us to go back to Astor Gardens tonight."
"Aren't you going on a business trip?"
"Well, do you want to go?" Sebastian Astor responded lightly, "The second family will be there for dinner tonight."
Clara Sutton was slightly surprised, her brows furrowed slightly at the thought of having to deal with Grace Ford again.
"Don't force yourself. I can decline for you, saying it's work-related. Grandma and Mom won't mind. We can go together when I return." Sebastian Astor seemed to notice her inner concern and gently tucked her hair behind her ear, his tone cool yet subtly tender.
