"Edgar Norris, do you even know what you're saying right now?"
Jerry Moore had long known what kind of person her husband was, but she didn't expect him to use the same methods on his own daughter as he did on his enemies.
"She's your daughter. Daughters are meant to be cherished, not used!"
Edgar Norris, however, was unconcerned.
"What's this about using? It's just having her build a bridge. If The Norris Clan can truly latch onto The Smith Clan's big tree, she, as a Norris Family Member, would benefit as well."
"Dad's not wrong."
Nancy Norris, just returned from school, didn't expect to see a spectacle as soon as she got home.
"Using terms like 'use' within a family is a bit too harsh."
"As for me, I don't know any Miss Linwood. If I did, I wouldn't even wait for Dad to speak — I'd have built the bridge myself."
