Her reaction amused Henry Ronan, as his thin lips curled into a gentle smile, "Everything packed?"
Lucy Ansley opened the door and glanced back, "Yeah, just one suitcase."
The two of them walked into the study one after the other. Lucy put down the puppy and poured the man a cup of tea. "Are we moving to Zenith City this week?"
"Not so soon." Henry unbuttoned his coat, crossed his legs, and assumed a relaxed and leisurely posture, "In a hurry?"
Lucy cleared her throat to mask her embarrassment, "Not really, I just thought..." you were more eager.
She didn't finish the last few words, fearing it might damage his gentlemanly image.
Yesterday on the phone, Dr. Ronan had reminded her to sort out her things, and Lucy naturally assumed it was preparation for the move.
"Thought what?" The man looked at her with composed curiosity.
Lucy definitely wouldn't tell the truth, shook her head, and changed the topic, "If we're moving at the end of the year, isn't packing now too early?"
