Alex opened the door to his dorm once again, this time, all his mates were present.
He finally got to know the names of his other two dorm mates. Dean and Jack.

Levi seeing him showed slight surprise and then turned her head away. Not giving a crap about her, Alex jumped onto his bed, not bothering to shower.

The rain beat down heavily once again at night, and it masked the scent of the blood of the deceased citizens.
A odd group of people in black cloaks gathered inside an abandoned building.
They numbered five. One child, two men and two women.
A strange group indeed.
They had the symbol of a raven with red eyes on the back of their cloaks.

A deep male voice reverberated across the room.
"It is, we only have three though. We all know the main targets right?"
One of the hooded people responded, sounding like a female.
The man who started the conversation looked outside, and thunder struck, illuminating his face for a second.
Brown hair and emerald eyes, a hooked nose and a straight chin. His emerald eyes had a small reflection of golden texts.
The man turned to the female.
"It will take about twelve minutes for the rain to cease. Since the rain is our only cover, this is the best time to strike.
Gather back here by the tenth minute, if you arrive any later than that, I won't hesitate to kill you myself."
"Let's begin"
Hearing him, the other four shuddered for a second before disappearing.
The man looked at the door to their room for a second, before he vanished too.
On the other side of the door, a woman who had been listening in stopped holding her breath after hearing a whoosh sound, signifying he had disappeared.

Removing his hand, the man looked at the corpse for a second before it instantly vanished.

An explosion suddenly occurred, taking down a part of the dorms. Alex instantly woke up, and so did everyone else.

Ethan and the others sat up.

The door slammed open, and a muscular man still wearing a black cloak dashed into the room.
Ethan reacted first, darting towards the cloaked figure with his fist out. Kai wasn't far behind.
The figure raised his left foot, slamming down at Ethan before he could even react.
Ethan's body dropped onto the floor, limp.
Kai, seeing the interaction halted his movements and kept distance. This wasn't a joke.
If Ethan was taking out in one hit, this guy wasnt G-.... No, was he even G?
The figure raised Ethan's head up by the hair.

The man with a psychotic smile jumped out the holde Alex flew out of and dived towards Alex.
Two red magic formulas could be seen wrapped around his arm, clearly showing his usage of mana in that punch, wanting to see what Alex could do.

Right before the punch connected, the chain wrapped around a lamp post and immediately yanked him in a different direction, barely dodging the hit.

A large crater around half the size of a football field formed from the man's punch and dust scattered into the air, blocking Alex's eyesight…
'He insta-used a magic formula mid fight.. No, now's not the time for that.
He said he wanted something, that mesns I can stop this fight if I give it to him.
But what could it be?'

A large hand emerged out from the dust, moving towards Alex.

She held a bewitching face which currently held a slight frown.
'He's immune to my charms, I guess I have to go the other way'
Suddenly, a fan appeared in her hand.
"Let's see just how worth it you are boy!"
The woman swung her fan and made a huge gust of wind, causing the items on the ground to swirl around and move towards Max.
Dodging one of them, Max's eyes grew cold as his body instantly turned into lightning.

The General Secretary, Arc launched himself backwards, dodging an attack from the cloaked child.
"Who are you? What are you trying to achieve?"
Magma sprayed from Arc's hands, burning of the cloak of the child.
The magma disappeared as soon as it touched the child's skin, not leaving a single mark.
Suddenly, a woman with long silky hair as white as snow appeared above and sent a kick towards the child.
The little child looked up before suddenly appearing behind the woman.
{Halo: Black Scythe}
A red halo appeared above the child's head and along with it came a red scythe.
"A halo user!? Why am I so unlucky!?"
Halo users, a section of races that used an entirely different concept for their powers. They didn't have mana.
Instead, they had halos, soul bound objects of destruction created by absorbing other souls.
A mighty power.
Arc ducked, barely dodging the sharp scythe that cut the wall behind him apart.
The woman placed her hand on the floor, making multiple ice spikes targeted towards the child.
The child jumped into the air and threw his scythe which spun at the woman and returned like a boomerang.
Its speed was inconceivable.
Arc teleported behind the child and lunged his claws at the child's back.
The woman on the other hand seemed to have dodged the scythe and finished casting a spell that formed a grand formula below them.

A part of the dorms, even outside, suddenly became erupted, turning into ice…

The man who had brown hair and emerald eyes, presumably their leader, sat on a table, looking at the corpse of the principal and checking the time.
'Alright, all teachers have been taken care of. Luckily for them, if I kill them now, I'll attract the attention of the gods and that fairy.'
It was a very short fight, and the man was overwhelmingly stronger than all of them, including the principal.

The man looked disappointed a removed what seemed to be a gun from his pocket.
At this moment, Alex' clenched his teeth.

He tried moving as he called his chains before realizing his arm had been basically nailed to the wall, or what was left of the wall, with a rod.
The chains he had left on the lamp post earlier quickly rushed towards him, its shape slightly changing.
Its tip became sharp like an arrow.
The chain blurred, rushing to catch the man off guard and pierce through the back of his head.
The man looked at it with a bored expression and waved his hand at it, swatting it away easily.

"Don't worry boy, you're special, so I can't kill you now, but I will be taking what I came for."

A black bead suddenly shot out from the gun, strangely, he didn't feel any pain when it landed on his forehead… Because it didn't, it directly entered his body.

The lady swung her fan once more, making a strong gust of wind.

With that, she instantly disappeared.

The brown-haired man stared at the corpse which had the figure of a child. "Arthur, get up."
The child whose heart had stopped beating after Arc and the lady killed him got up with a frown.
"They only won because we can only use fifty percent of our full power, so don't worry Arthur, I'll let you fight with your full strength next time"
Looking around the area, you could see magma that was solidifying on one side and ice spikes on the other side.
The man raised his eyebrows in surprise. 'Two perma type ability users?'
No wonder Arthur lost, he still had to be careful of where he stepped even way after the spell was cast.'
Sighing, the man checked his watch once again, one minute…

A mental transmission was sent from Arc to Alex, allowing them to talk without the man hearing.
Arc questioned Alex while keeping his guard up.

Arc's eyes widened in shock for a split second before turning to his normal face.
"Alright, I'll question you later, since this is a dead end, you have to pass by him. Go, I'll distract him!"
"Okay"
But internally Alex thought differently.
'No. I need to get it back. No matter what...
Z, are you listening? If you can't use soul link to share your power...'
The rod had already been removed. Alex got into a running stance while Arc begun spewing out magma.
Alex instantly went full speed, using all his mana to create a burst of air, maximizing his speed. The man had to create a mana barrier to block the magma preventing him from getting the chance to recapture Alex.
When Alex reached his side, he still ignored him and focused on the magma that threatened to roast him alive.
At this moment, the area rippled once, immediately alerting Arc, but he was too slow to react.
Everything begun moving slow once again, or rather, Muscular begun moving at extreme speeds once again.
His barrier deactivated and Muscular grabbed Alex, about to teleport, when he suddenly retreated away from his body in a dash, avoiding a knee kick from Alex by a hair's breadth.
But this didn't seem like Alex, after all he lost his trademark golden hair and it was replaced with pitch black hair.
His eyes turned from sky blue to crimson red, a black Z shaped tattoo lay over his left eye. His pupils, his pupils had gained the strange omega symbol once again.
"Ah. The outside air feels so fresh but… It's sad how little of my power can be used with this current body."
He opened his arms wide and took a deep breath. The man stared at Alex in shock for a bit before he smiled again.
"You, you're strong… at least for this place."
BOOM!
The man left a sonic boom in his wake, instantly appearing with his foot directly in front of Alex.
But…
The scene looked wrong. Only one hand held his foot and the other just stood idly, not moving. Alex raised his head to look at the towering face of the man and spoke with a grin.
"Good! Let me see the full strength of this body!"
The man flew out of his grasp and landed on his feet as he skidded through the broken floor.
He immediately raised his head and looked at the person who didn't seem to be Alex and was oozing out a malicious aura.
The duo suddenly moved and dashed towards each other. Right at the moment of impact, Alex suddenly ducked and aimed his strike at his crotch, the man was moving too fast to stop, yet he still smiled in glee.

That was not the sound of a fist hitting a crotch, Alex suddenly shifted his body to the right, avoiding a kick.

Alex suddenly jumped midair and kicked the man thrice at a speed invisible to the eye.
He spat out blood but didn't stop moving, rather, a pair of gauntlets appeared on his arms along with five magic formulas, all red.
His speed suddenly increased as the strike connected with Alex's face.
This time, it was Alex who flew backwards. He landed his feet on the wall he was about to hit, stabilizing himself.

He spat out blood and grinned, revealing his blood stained teeth.

Half of his face had been ripped off and he looked like a living skeleton, yet he still smiled with an excited look.
The man's mana surged like waves, yet right at the moment where Alex boomed towards him, a brown-haired man appeared.

'Why is this damn thing so noisy?'
He ignored it and focused on the battle.
The man moved to a sudden stop in his tracks, looking at his leader in slight fear.
Not caring about what was happening, Alex appeared before the man and his leader.
The man looked at Alex calmly before Alex suddenly froze still midair and was unable to move. He let out a crazy smile and asked
"Was that the space element I felt?".
The leader ignored Alex's question and tapped Muscular's shoulder, making them disappear.
Alex who had recovered looked at the spot where they were, slightly disappointed.
Arc watched the entire fight confused about how a survivor had already grown so strong. Of course, his injuries were severe.
Alex looked like a half skeleton with changed hair and a tattoo.
He was bleeding from his fists which he used to collide with the man.
