Very short chapter, I just wanted to get something out since it's been so long. Next one WILL be faster.
________
Classes went by pretty quickly with nothing much happening so Rias was now sitting in her clubroom planning exactly what she was going to do. Her peerage were doing other things so she was currently alone.
"The main problem is somehow getting him to be able to control when his gear activates."
That was the big issue, and it becomes an even bigger one when his cowardice is accounted for.
"Perhaps that could work." She whispered to herself.
"If I grant him a Vision maybe it can be used as a stopper for his power?" Rias theorized.
"But, it's a risk."
If the Vision doesn't work the way she hoped it would it could Mae the entire situation worse. Her hope is that since he'll have essentially complete control of the power the Vision lets out and its activation he could use it as a stopper for his sacred gears activation.
However, if he can't control it, it may lead to even more powerful outbursts of his sacred gear.
"I also don't have many options." Simple training was an option but she also didn't have the time for that, there simply wasn't enough time for her to sit focused on trying to train him.
"If I wasn't a devil I may have prayed for a miracle right about now." Rias said standing from her seat.
"But what kind of devil would I be if I didn't take any risks?"
She strode out of the main club room into the halls. Walking down the halls at the end was a door sealed with glowing silver chains.
Raising her hand, her magic circle appeared over the silver chains. And like a key unlocking a lock the magic circle turned then the chains faded away.
Opening the doors, Rias was met with an extremely dark room, not even a spec of light leaked into the room.
In the darkness of the room however, there was a slight light that stood out.
Walking towards it Rias saw the sight of a tv on pause with a sleeping Gasper laying in front of it.
Shaking her head slightly, kneeling down next to him she tapped his arm lightly.
With a jolt of awareness his eyes snapped open, a golden glow forming in his deep red eyes.
"President?" Gasper said, his voice filled with confusion.
Rias stared for a moment as the golden glow in his eyes faded away.
"Good evening Gasper, there's a few things we need to discuss. But first, how have you been the last few days? Sorry I haven't come to visit." Rias said with a smile.
Standing back up she walked over to the pink covered bed and took a seat.
Gaspers Currently slow brain from just waking up took a moment to process what she'd said.
"Oh uh, it's completely fine, nothing much has really changed. It's about the same as it usually is." He responded sitting up straight but remaining in his spot.
That was about what Rias expected, Gasper was mostly a loner at heart. Though that may just be because of how he's lived so far.
"There is one thing though." He continued
"Hm?"
"Yesterday, I suddenly started feeling this weird creeping feeling of worry. I uh don't really know how to describe it. I'm worried but have no idea about what. But also for some reason I also feel happy. But there's also nothing to be happy at. It's weird, I don't know." Gasper said rapidly, confused about the whole situation.
"… That is quite strange." Was all Rias could really reply with.
She wasn't really sure what it possibly be, the faction that was wiped out? But that wasn't yesterday. She was drawing a blank.
"That's something we can investigate later." Rias said. "For now, we should get down to business."
Gaspers head tilted slightly "What business?"
"Simple, you being stuck in this room for years."
____
"But what if it doesn't work?" Gasper asked "like you said! it could even end up making things worse!"
Rias had just finished giving Gasper the run down on Visions and her idea of how one could help him.
"If it really comes down to it and the Vision makes it worse I have a way to handle it." She simply replied.
"And even if I didn't have a way to handle it, you can't be held up in this room forever so we're trying everything available." Rias declared with no room for argument.
Her hand raised an in a dazzling glow a Vision appeared, floating above her hand.
Gasper who was now sitting beside Rias looked at the jewel in awe.
Slowly, the Vision floated over to him.
His eyes were still bright with worry and his expression and posture screaming anxiousness.
"Don't worry, nothing bad will happen." Rias said reassuringly.
And though he was still anxious Gasper nodded his head. Raising his arms he accepted the Vision with both hands.
As it made contact, the Vision began to glow. It flickered quickly between a deep black and a vibrant white. The glow intensified, the darkness causing the already dark room to become even darker and the white lighting up the room as if the Sun had appeared inside.
*TickTock
The sound of a clock could be heard.
*BwooshCrk
And beside it the sound of an encroaching Darkness resounded.
The lights fought, the white pushing through the darkness and the darkness swallowing the white.
Then
*Tskwwoosh!
Without any warning both lights vanished.
Confused they both looked at the Vision and noticed what had happened.
"It seems both sides fused." Rias said staring at the newly settled Vision.
The Vision had its same six-pointed star golden plating but at its center was a pitch black jewel with the symbol of a pure white clock in the middle.
"….Chrono aionia skia" Gasper whispers
"What?" Rias questions, only barely hearing him.
His gaze shifted to look at her "Chrono aionia skia, that's the name of the element."
"Time eternal shadow? Fitting." Rias replied.
Standing up she stretched for a moment then said "How about we do some testing?"
____
After a little complaining and resistance from Gasper, Rias eventually simply decided to throw Gasper over her shoulder and carry him out of his small room.
Now, they and the rest of the peerage stand in the clubhouse courtyard.
"So wait, his sacred gear can control time and it's not even considered a Longinus? This metric is all out of whack." Issei said scratching his head.
"It's likely due to the fact it grants no direct power to the wielder and can be resisted by people significantly stronger than the wielder." Akeno answered, telling her own theory on it as that has been a question the rest of the peerage had as well.
Issei stopped to think for a moment and nodded " I guess that makes sense but still, that's weird."
"We won't be able to understand the mind of the heaven faction leader even in a thousand years, so don't think too hard about it." Rias said butting in.
The Forbidden Balor view though it has the ability to stop time it is nether for a long time nor is it very effective against opponents stronger than oneself. It was created by YahWeh in an attempt to mimic the power of the Evil God Balor. Due to his goal simply being to mimic the evil eye of Balor the forbidden Balor view only has its time stopping ability and nothing else.
It lacks the versatility that other Sacred gears have while also not being able to do much against stronger opponents.
Though powerful in its own right, it did not have the potential or qualifications to reach the class of Longinus. At least normally.
Gasper watched them talk about him awkwardly, he very much wanted to shrink away into a hole somewhere.
"Anyways, we should get to what we were intending to do. Testing."
________
Hello, been a long while for this update, I did edit two of the previous chapters though, it should make the start of this story significantly easier to read. Honestly all I can say about this being so late is that I got lazy, busy, and distracted by other things.
Anyways, for anyone wondering about the explanation about the Forbidden Balor view, I took it from the wiki and put my a bit of my own explanations on it. FBV doesn't normally have Balor's soul in it, that was strictly because of Valerie. GoB created FBV simply based on Balor's evil eye and nothing else so without Balor's soul the darkness/Shadow manipulation doesn't actually exist in the sacred gear. This also means that FBV is significantly weaker in actuality in comparison to what we see Gasper do.
It's my own assumption that having the soul of Balor also increased the power of the time stopping ability as that would simply make sense. Though this may not be the case.
