"Because you are precious to me." He could see the frown on her face get deeper. She wriggles free out of his hold and Ethan took it as a chance to correct himself before she runs away from him. "I mean..you work for me. Why else should I not cherish you?"
Ana gauges his expression to see if he was joking or being serious at the moment. Threatening to kill the Royal family which by now she realised he is a part of, just because of her is not an option that should be available for a man like him. Unless he comes from a fucked up family. But, no matter how fucked up his family could be, she is merely a stranger to him. A lady he met few days go. It wasnt worth risking his family for her.
