Looking at his panel, Varius new that the three souls he received was from his friends. And because of this, his determination to take revenge spiked up.
Varius stood up, the coldness in his eyes makes one shiver. He new that blindly charging at the goblins camp was suicidal, so he decided to find scattered goblins to level up.
Varius picked up Aira's sword, he also got Jake's shield that was half the size his body, and hold Ryan's gun and wore his armor and bag. After gearing up and burying his friends body,he took a last look and left the place.

As Varius ran thru the forest, his eyes coldness never left.
He saw a group of 10 goblins, using his crystal he saw that there was a single level 5 and the others are 3 and 2.
After reaching 5 meters before making contact with the goblins, Varius fired a volley of bullets killing two goblins. Reaching a certain distance, Varius use charge hitting two goblins stunning them.
Varius quickly followed with a chop, slicing the two goblins head. He used Roar followed by Wind Blade hitting the goblins who was about to shoot him with an arrow quickly splitting its body to three.
Then Varius use his shield to knock down the nearest goblin, using his sword he pierced its head.
Only three seconds past since Varius attack, but he already killed six goblins.
After seeing their companions die, the goblins reacted and rushed at Varius trying to attack him.
Looking at the goblins, Varius used his shield to block the three attacks. Then he swing his sword to meet the level 5 Goblin's attacked, because of his various skills, even with a difference of one level they were equally match in strength.
Seeing this situation, Varius immediately used charge again aim at the three other goblins. He followed up with chop and wind blade instantly killing the three goblins.
Reaching level 5, Varius easily overpowered the level 5 goblin and killed using his skills and technique.
After finishing of the goblins, Varius left the scene to find more goblins. He didn't even bother looting them.
Varius quickly found another group of goblins, he used the same tactics earlier to finish this new group of goblins. He used his skills easily overpowering them.
Varius repeated this ten more times increasing his level to 7.

After fighting twelve groups of goblins. Varius was exhausted. He was sitting at one of the tree branches, resting.
Even while resting, Varius didn't let his guard down. With a cold look in his eyes, Varius surveyed the surrounding looking for traces of the goblins.
Looking at the distance, Varius saw a Goblin Army. The leader was a female Goblin Hunter, who is also at level 7.
Varius inspect their levels one by one using the crystal, seeing that this army only contained Goblin Hunters. He saw that the lowest level goblin in this army is 4, and their numbers reaching more than a hundred.
Varius thought of several plans, using the tree branches, Varius slowly moved toward the army by jumping from one branch to another.
After reaching ten meters before the goblin army, Varius positioned his self near the army's rear. He carefully observe the goblins before making his move.
Seeing that the goblin army was planning there move, Varius found a place where more goblins are concentrated.
Boom!
Varius took out a bunch grenades from the bag, pulling the ring of the first grenade, he throw it near the middle of the army killing ten goblins and injuring twenty others.
The goblin army was shocked at the sudden attack, everyone was about to start running around aimlessly. But with the female Goblin Hunter's command they quickly regained their calmness, they looked around warily looking for the assailant.
Varius saw an opportunity, he threw another grenade were there are at least 30 goblins. He end up killing 15 more goblins with the grenade and injure ten, but because the goblins are already expecting an attack they quicky found Varius a top a tree near their rear.
Seeing the filthy ambusher, the goblins load their bow and started firing arrows. Thou the goblins accuracy was nothing to talk about, when seeing the arrows number, one would be a porcupine when hit with the arrows
Looking at the 50 plus arrows, Varius calmly threw another grenade. Then he quicky jump down the tree and run the opposite direction with his shield behind his back, he use the trees to his advantage by blocking some of the arrows.
Seeing Varius taking down almost half of her army in a few seconds, the female goblin was enrage, she loaded her bow with three arrows and shoot at Varius who was 300 hundred meters away.
Feeling a sense of danger, Varius calmly smiled. Using the technique he learn from watching anime in his past life. Varius pulled the rings of three grenades and threw it in front of him. Using his shield to cover the front of his body, Varius jump towards the grenade slightly slanted forward.
With the help of the explosive force, Varius was propelled upward narrowly evading the three arrows shot by the female Goblin Hunter. Using the force slanted his body forward largely increasing the distance between him and the army.
Seeing Varius evading her attack, the female goblin became hysterical, she madly ordered her subordinates to chase after Varius.

Seeing the goblins closing in, Varius threw another grenade killing six more goblins and injury ten. Varius quickly analyze his situation, seeing that there's only a single grenade left.
He looked back at the army, seeing less than thirty goblins left chasing and shooting at him.
Varius stopped and turned around, meeting the goblins arrows with his shield. He used charge, breaking the army's formation.
Varius used his self to gather the goblins, he use unleash roar causing the goblin to rush at him with their swords.
Varius calmly retreat step by step, he waited patiently before going for the final kill.
After stepping back for a few meters, Varius finally saw his opportunity. He quickly threw the last grenade in front of him when the goblins were close together, due to the narrow space, Varius directly killed 20 goblins and injure the remaining ones.

After finishing of the remaining injured goblin, Varius sat down and rest for awhile. Catching his breath, Varius slowly returned to where he saw the army earlier.
