Looking at the figure moving towards them, all of them became tense. A tremendous feeling of unease pass their hearts.
Varius stared at the figure with cold eyes, no one would be happy when they were suddenly attacked.

The goblin spoke playfully, looking at Varius and his team with a sneer.
The Ryan and the others became enrage by the goblins words, but after seeing it's information, they draw their weapons and became serious.

He was the leader of the goblin army, Varius and the others became confused why is he here.
"You think that climbing a tree can hide you?"
The goblin saw their reaction and immediately new what they're thinking, he mockingly said to them.
Seeing the situation, Varius new that they're in extreme danger. His mind spun thinking of ways to escape, he new that facing this enemy was a one way ticket to death.
Looking at Varius and the others despaired expression, the goblin became excited.
"Truly wonderful, seeing my prey despair."
The goblin laugh, he looked down on Varius and the others.
The goblin draw his blade, his figure quickly vanish from Varius and the others sight.
In the next moment, the goblin appeared before Jake and with a casual swing of his blade and send him flying breaking all of his bones.
"No!!!"
Varius had never been the kind to show his sad expression, but seeing the person who trusted him with his life being played to death with him not being able to do anything, Varius couldn't help but shout.
Hearing Varius' despaired, the goblin revealed a smile. He looked at Varius thinking he found a new toy.
Seeing the goblin's mocking expression, Varius charge at him. Varius unleash all his strength, he used all the technique he new.
But due to the power difference, the goblin easily blocked all of Varius' attacks. He also sent Varius flying again.
Varius threw up blood after hitting a tree, he felt pain all over his body.
Ryan and Aira couldn't react at the sudden scenario, both of them were shocked and still in a daze. And when they looked at the goblin, they saw him also staring right at them. Both of them felt cold behind their backs, a feeling of despair crept in their hearts.
The Goblin's smile became wider, he vanished again sending Ryan and Aira flying each hitting a tree also breaking their spinal cord.
Due to the sudden attack and fast pace of the situation, no one had the time to break their crystal couple with the fear they felt they forgot.
Seeing this, Varius stood up. Holding his sword, he charge again. Even when the goblin kept sending him flying he repeatedly charged. He want to buy some time for his friends to crush their crystal to escape.
"No matter what you do, you can't defeat me."
The goblin kept mocking Varius, he laugh seeing Varius struggle.
"Oh, if you think your friends can escape think again."
The goblin showed three black crystal to Varius, seeing this, Varius' body shaked. He thought that he can let his friends escape, but he didn't new that the goblin saw thru him.
Ryan and others couldn't move, so they had no way of helping Varius. And even if they can move, they had no way of defeating the level 7 Mutated Goblin Fighter.
Mutated creatures are 3 times stronger than creatures at the same level, and they have intelligence compared to humans making them more dangerous and hard to predict.
"Seeing you creatures despair is great."
"You think that your better than us? Using my kin's blood for you to get stronger."
"Well, think again!"
The goblin spoke maniacally, he rushed at Varius who was on the ground sending him flying with a kick. The goblin used all his strength making Varius break two threes after making contact and stopped after rolling for a few more meters.
"Varius!!"
When Ryan and the two saw this, they wanted to get up but couldn't muster any strength. They looked at the mutated goblin and accepted their fated unwillingly.
"Oops, looks like the games over."
Looking at Varius who stopped moving, the goblin spoke in a sad tone thinking that he lost a toy.
"Now your next."
"On second thought, I'll just cut all your limbs."
The goblin looked at the three, losing his interest. He chopped their limbs with a straight face like chopping vegetables.

The three let out a shrill scream after getting all their limbs cut off, but no one blamed Varius. How can they blame him when Varius even risk his life protecting them, albeit not surviving everyone accepted their deaths.
Dieing was one thing, but dieing with a friend who stayed behind for them is something else. In the present time, finding such a person is difficult. So a sense of respect for Varius filled their hearts.
Seeing that there was no one left, the goblin left not even bothering to check if Varius died. Well even others would declare Varius dead after seeing him hitting trees, no mortal could endure such injury.

After a few second, Varius was finally able to move. He looked around to find Ryan and the others, but what he saw shocked him. An enrage look appeared on his face.
He rushed toward them, the three was lying side by side with only their body and head. All of their limbs were cut off.
He noticed that the three was still breathing faintly, so hurriedly knelt down beside them.
"Ryan, Jake, Aira can you hear me?"
"Guys hang in there I'll go and get help."
Varius tried to asked them with a deep tone, he wanted to save them.
"Var.. Varius, i.. is... that yo.. you?"
Ryan suddenly spoke with difficulty, he was on his last breath.
"No, stop,. hold on I'll get help now."
Hearing his friend speak, Varius hold his head and replied with gritted teeths and shaking voice, his face was full of sadness.
"Take,.. take revenge for us."
Ryan continued not heeding Varius' words, then he suddenly stop breathing.
Seeing his friend die in his hands, the coldness in Varius' eyes grew as he shed tears.
"Varius can you do that?"
"Also, can you say a message to my family?"
"Say that I'm sorry for leaving earlier than them and to keep living well."
Aira also spoke, not hiding the bitterness in her heart. But even when seeing that Varius was fine, she didn't feel hateful, on the contrary he felt thankful.
"Varius, can you also pass a message to my brother?"
"Tell him, that I'm sorry for being so weak."
Jake also said his favor.
After saying their words, the two also stopped breathing not even waiting for Varius to reply.
