In Polly Sutton's mind, Mason Rook's face suddenly appeared, causing her to shiver in fright and hasten her steps down the mountain.
"What's wrong? Why are you suddenly sweating?" Her senior asked, unable to resist questioning the quickened pace.
"Nothing, just the sun." Polly pointed to the sunset, clearly not wishing to elaborate. To her, Mason Rook was an unhealable nightmare, a skin-crawling, bone-burning nightmare, no matter how she acted, it was impossible to heal.
Polly returned to the hotel and went to her room first to prepare to take the two of them out for dinner.
Little Benny put away his still unassembled Lu Ban Lock, taking a lot of time to solve it initially, assembling it was even more troublesome, but the little guy was determined with this puzzle.
"Maybe when you grow up, you'll be able to assemble it."
