Andrew Lindsey sent them home and then left. Victor Parker carried the two children upstairs, while Polly Sutton followed behind slowly, looking as if she was utterly exhausted.
It wasn't until they reached the door that she bumped into Victor Parker's back and realized where she was.
Polly Sutton: "..."
"Why did you bring me here?" Polly Sutton instantly became alert and quietly reproached Victor Parker's unkind intentions.
Victor Parker chuckled, "It's the middle of the night. Do you want to go back and wake up your mentor's wife, or disturb your senior sister?"
Polly Sutton: "..."
That seemed plausible as well.
"Or do you plan to take a cab with them back at this hour?"
Polly Sutton looked at the two children, who were sound asleep. She feared that they might wake up if shuffled around more.
"Open the door. The password is their birthday."
