"Let go of me." Polly's neck was being pinched by him, it hurt, and she reasonably suspected this man was taking revenge.
"Someday, I'll break those monkey legs of yours and see how you run." Victor released her, threatening her as he spoke.
Polly hurriedly hid by the door, rubbing her sore neck skin. He used to pinch her throat, now he's pinching the skin on the back of her neck, the man clearly wanted to kill her.
"What's this?" Victor sniffed a strange fragrance and then saw the ball she was holding in her hands.
"Someone else gave it to me, don't touch it." Polly quickly stuffed the wooden ball into her bag, resembling a kindergarten child with a fun toy that they're afraid will be snatched by a bully.
Victor was exactly that bully.
After putting her things away, Polly turned to Victor, "What are you doing here?"
After speaking, Polly saw the missed calls on her phone, dozens of calls from Andrew.
