It wasn't everyday that something this miraculous happened. And coupled with the subjects of the rumor, it was just the perfect outlet that the people of the Kingdom of Eversun were looking for to release their curiosity.
So, no matter how much the Grand Minister tried to quell these rumors, they still spread like wildfire.
At first, the rumors started close to the "truth": the king had been severely wounded in his bed chambers by a dagger strike. His consort, the former Princess of Eversun, used her body to shield the king from further attacks. Just when everyone thought that he was going to pass away, his wounds miraculously healed as his consort remained by his side.
