It didn't take Cain long to reach one of the small towns nearest him. Of course, small was a relative term when describing anything within Invictus City, as even this settlement was gargantuan by the standards of ordinary universes. Its buildings were so enormous that some could have accommodated entire mountain ranges within their walls, their architecture displaying the extraordinary craftsmanship and power of the Primordials who had created them.
Hundreds of Primordials moved through the streets, each occupied with their own affairs. Some sat in secluded areas, focusing on their cultivation and absorbing the dense energy permeating the city, while others gathered in groups to discuss future endeavors, exchange information, or negotiate business arrangements. There were also those who simply enjoyed their lives, walking through the streets with their families, visiting shops, or spending time with friends.
