"Now that the Varley Clan is in turmoil, Aunt, aren't you worried at all?" Sarah Sullivan couldn't help but ask.
"What's there to worry about?" Aunt answered with a face full of indifference.
"Isn't it just that old story about power struggles and fighting for money? Let me tell you, people can get by with or without money. Silk and satin are fine, but you can live just as well on plain food and rough clothes! Don't be fooled by your aunt's love for luxury brands—honestly, I just join in for the fun of it. Half the stuff I buy, I never even use once. Put me in bargain bin clothes, I have zero problem with that. Taking the subway every day? Not an issue. So what's there to fuss over? The Varley family has been rich for too long; going through a bit of hardship could be nice for a change. At least we could get rid of all those sickening bootlickers who come here every day to butter us up—just looking at them makes me want to hurl."
Sarah nodded in admiration.
