Elena was so furious because she really trusted Rachel and considered her as her best friend and sister.
Elena is the daughter of Damien Kings, the president of the Kings corps, one of the top five ruling business in Europe. She was never on good terms with her father because she is an illegitimate child and she never had any friends because her stepsister, Maggie, always made it difficult for her. Fortunately, she came across Rachel and they became best of friends but, behind the disguise of friendship was a motive which was to be Maggie's friend. Not being able to get close to Maggie, Rachel ended up using Elena.
Elena was so furious that she refused to listen to any of Rachel's explanations. She had asked her to help get some information from the King's corp so she'll see how it will help improve her company. She started her own company to prove that she's not dependent on her father's wealth, but her scheming friend took it as an opportunity to stab her in the back and get closer to Maggie.
Rachel immediately knelt down and started crying, she then said "Lena I'm innocent, I never sold you out. I never knew that Maggie would spy on me."
Elena did not know what to say because everyone always finds an excuse whenever they did something wrong to her and she never expected her best friend to do this to her.
She had been collecting the information needed for a long time only for all her hard work to go down the drain because of a little not so little mistake. She should should have expected something like this but she decided to give her friend a benefit of doubt hoping she wasn't betrayed by her.
