Since the treasures were right in front of them, it wasn't as if they could do nothing.

When one of the members of the second prince's group tried to take one of the pills that was in front of them, they were suddenly pulled back by another member. This second member rushed forward with a sword raised and blocked the slash that had been coming at them.
After blocking this slash, they looked at the south duke's faction that was in front of them.
The south duke's faction was a bit confused why they were being glared at like this, but they didn't back down as they glared back at this knight.
