"Those are my terms, take them or leave them." His bright golden eyes were intently focused on hers.
She rubbed her knees, afraid they would begin to shake from the emotions that swirled through her.
Cinderella was true to her words; she made a way for them to meet, and now she is faced with the one person she thought she would never see again.
"I cannot give you our child's custody. He needs me. He is very fragile and..." she felt like she was about to cry.
"I already know of his condition. In fact, I know of his sickness; it was the very reason that brought you here. I have more money than your lover ever can have. I can hire nurses and doctors to look after our child," he said, his face remaining calm.
"I don't want to part ways with my child. I don't want to leave him in a stranger's care," she hissed.
"I am not a stranger to my own child. Have you forgotten why you are here? You will not be here if I were not the father of that child, right?" he sneered.
