Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: New features

Shurima World – Nine Continents

The Kingdom of Luna—once one of the most prominent powers across the Nine Continents—stood on the brink of collapse. Known for its unorthodox methods of cultivation, the kingdom of Luna had long drawn hostility from other kingdoms. For years, wars flared near its borders. Yet, everyone knew the wars weren't just about morality or righteousness but interests of the nobles, clan and sects. The reason kingdoms can't advance is because of thousand demon sects cultivators, Luna had held vast territory for thousands of years. Now that it was weakening, others hungered for its lands but few one's dares to go all out, fearing kingdoms ire.

But things changes this time, on a hill near the Palace of the Kings, the clash of blades and the whistling of arrows filled the air. A bloody skirmish raged near the palace gates. Amid the chaos, a man stood alone, watching two armies rip into each other. His expression was conflicted.

"Our kingdom… it's ending," he whispered.

He exhaled slowly, then screamed with all his might.

"You maggots dare cause trouble here?! Die! For the Kingdom of Luna!"

He leapt into the fray.

A louder voice roared from across the battlefield. "Raja! You dare defend a worthless kingdom? Let me help you meet your end!"

Raja's eyes sharpened. "You old dipshit fried on a stick—Wei, I'll be the one sending you to the gates of death!"

"Courting death!" Wei bellowed as the two charged into battle.

---

In the heart of the battlefield, bodies lay strewn like broken dolls. Amid them, a young man suddenly sat up, blinking as if just waking from a nap.

"AHHH—what the hell?!"

A sword slashed through the air toward him.

This young man was Arthur.

"What the hell?! Why am I in the middle of a battlefield? Blu! BLUUU!" he yelled, stumbling backward.

"Look at all the weapons! This place is packed with items. You want points, right? Grab them!" Blu's voice echoed in his mind.

"Oh, right!" Arthur turned around, dashing back into danger—only to be met with a hail of arrows.

"AHHH—I wanna leave! I quit!"

"Didn't you want to level up? You're just transmigrated—calm down," Blu reminded him.

"Damn it, I forgot again."

Arthur smacked his forehead and spun back toward the carnage, now calmer. He reminded himself: This was trial mode. He couldn't die here. While fantasizing about what to buy with the points, an arrow embedded itself in his arm.

"AHHHH—it hurts!"

Blu sighed audibly in his mind.

Soldiers glared at him as if he were mad. A man with blades strapped to his back rushed toward him, yelling in a language he couldn't understand.

"Vlak lugrahhh!"

Arthur panicked, clutching his bleeding arm. His legs refused to move.

"Grab the spear next to you! Plant it in the ground, tip forward, base in the soil!" Blu ordered sharply.

Arthur snapped to attention, obeying. The attacker realized too late—he was impaled on the spear.

"Kuwahhh… lug...graah…" the man croaked before dying.

Arthur shivered. He didn't know the language, but the intent was clear.

He tapped the spear—Inventory. Then noticed the man's back bristled with weapons. He quickly tapped them all. It took half a day, but Arthur stripped the battlefield of everything he could carry—swords, daggers, armor. Then, he pressed onward.

The war had now spilled into the palace itself. Screams and laughter echoed eerily from within. Arthur shivered but pressed on, map in hand. A glowing green dot marked a treasure nearby.

He took everything of value he saw—vases, paintings, utensils. Finally, after half an hour, he reached the marked spot… the kitchen?

"This is it. Look for the item," Blu prompted.

Arthur looked around: a cauldron, a wok, some vegetables, meat, a few rusted tools. He sighed and began tapping everything. If the dot disappeared, that meant he found the right item.

After a few more taps—blink. The green dot vanished.

"Huh?" He summoned the last item again: a worn, flat-black kitchen knife with a large dent down the middle.

"This is it?" he muttered.

He hesitated but tapped it again—Inventory.

A system prompt echoed:

> [Special item detected: Underworld Yin Metal. Forged 121,000 years ago.]

> [All special properties of the metal will be absorbed. Yin immunity increased.]

> [600 XP acquired.]

> [LEVEL UP.]

Arthur's jaw dropped.

> [Level 3 reached: "Gatherer" unlocked.]

> [All items acquired in transmigration will now return to normal world.]

> [Item value system unlocked: Items will glow bronze, silver, gold, platinum, or diamond based on value.]

> [New feature unlocked: Bargain. All items sold gain 20% value.]

> [New feature unlocked: Custom Forge—create weapons, potions, and herbs.]

Arthur nearly screamed in excitement.

"What the—this is insane! I can get normal XP from transmigration now?"

"Yup," Blu replied calmly.

He couldn't process it all. It was just too much. He was grinning like a maniac when—

A hand grabbed his shoulder.
