A blinding flash burst through the villain stronghold—electric blue rippled outward, and the acrid scent of ozone filled the air.
The slicked floor sizzled beneath waves of crackling current, spreading in every direction with a bone-chilling buzz:
Shrrrrr—buzz—crack!
Mid-leap, Bakugo snapped his fingers.
KABOOOM!
The already-damaged floor didn't just shake—it exploded in a cacophony of fire, concrete, and smoke, the blast tearing new holes through the villain base. When the dust cleared, Bakugo peered down over the wreckage.
Kaminari was sprawled on the ground, hair smoking, face locked in his infamous "idiot" grin — fried from electrical overload.
Bakugo rolled his eyes.
"Dumbass. Took yourself out again."
But then…he frowned.
No sign of Midoriya.
From deep in the shadowed corridor, Sero drew Midoriya up, tape whirling expertly. They ducked behind the fractured steel of a wall support, the operation's success written in the adrenaline on their faces.
Midoriya caught his breath, voice low and focused.
"Kaminari's down. Bakugo's alone now, but he's still dangerous. Here's the play: I'll hold him off. You slip around, find the bomb probably at the top of the building, and secure it."
Sero grinned, already threading tape along the ceiling's I-beams.
"You got it, Midoriya. Just…don't pass out or anything, yeah?"
Meanwhile, Bakugo stalked forward through settling dust, voice echoing through the chamber with smouldering challenge.
"Oi, Deku! Quit hiding—you coming out, or do I have to blast the whole place after you?"
The answer came with steady footsteps—Midoriya stepped from the shadow, dusting off his uniform. Bakugo's lips curled into a feral, eager grin.
Midoriya's body began to charge, a tangible vibration rolling across his skin. The green aura thickened, building into a visible shell—muscles flexed, lightning arced. Even his eyes flared, bright green and blazing.
With a boom, Midoriya launched himself at Bakugo, fist raised, the floor shattering under his burst. But Bakugo danced away, launching a palm up—
BOOM!
A micro-explosion knocked Midoriya back, his feet barely catching the ground.
Midoriya's body hummed with raw energy as he gathered his focus.
The green chakra coalesced around him like a living force, spreading from his core outward in vibrant, crackling arcs of lightning that danced just above his skin.
His muscles tensed visibly, swelling with newfound strength as the aura thickened into a brilliant emerald shield.
The once-faint glow in his eyes intensified, transforming into piercing orbs of vivid green that radiated determination and unwavering resolve. Every breath he took was sending steams out of his mouth, the pulsing power coursing through his veins-
Bakugo hovered, sneering, calling down. "So you're powering up, Deku? 'Bout time. Don't mind if I join you!"
Midoriya chuckled, breathless: "Haha, fine! But make it quick—I can't hold this long!"
"Wait ? power-up What do you mean?"
Bakugo's veins bulged as red streaks of electric-like aura suddenly erupted along his arms, illuminating the air with sparks of fierce intensity.
His pupils contracted sharply, glowing a deep crimson beneath his unruly golden hair that seemed to flare brighter with every crackle of lightning surrounding him.
A tangible heat radiated from his body—raw, volatile, and potent—as his aura ignited into fiery bursts of red and orange flames. His jaw clenched into a smirk of pure adrenaline-fueled confidence
His aura flickered.
Suddenly, much larger red streaks of lightning began to shoot up his arms , covering his body—the air supercharged.
Pupils shrank, glowing an unnatural crimson, wild yellow hair shining almost gold under the emergency lights.
Midoriya gawked. "Bakugo—you can use it too?!!"
Bakugo laughed, voice alive and reckless. "Shocked?! Thank Nagato for that."
--------Flashback----------
A couple of months ago, in the quiet shadow of an abandoned training lot, Nagato approached Bakugo with cautious resolve.
"Bakugo," Nagato began, voice calm but insistent.
"Can I try something on you?"
Bakugo's scowl deepened instantly as he crossed his arms. "Hell no. I'm not your lab rat or whatever you wanna call it."
Nagato's posture relaxed, and an impish grin tugged at his lips.
"Please. I promise it'll be safe. Cross my manhood on it."
Bakugo blinked, caught somewhere between suspicion and curiosity.
Nagato leaned in, voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper.
"Don't you wanna use those cool moves Midoriya pulls off? You know, the ones that make him glow and hit like a thunderstorm? or when he uses the elements?"
Bakugo's eyes widened, the scent of temptation strong.
For a long moment, his silence stretched, then surrendered. "Alright, fine. But make it quick."
Nagato's smirk deepened with satisfaction.
He clasped his hands together slowly, murmuring an incantation woven from refined chakra.
At once, the ground before them rippled faintly, like ink bleeding through water.
Emerging from the earth was a figure—tall and humanoid, yet unsettlingly unnatural. Its presence felt both powerful and eerie, radiating silent, solid authority.
The figure's eyes glowed a burning purple with ring patterns.
Its skin was a pale, almost stone-like hue, marked by symmetrical lines that traced patterns of pain and power across its face and limbs. Its appearance was otherworldly—neither fully human nor beast, but something that belonged beyond reality's usual bounds.
Even in silence, it exuded an aura of calculated menace and indomitable strength.
It even had the piercing like Nagato had but on a much weirder side.
"What the hell is this?" Bakugo spat, stepping back instinctively.
Nagato's voice was smooth and clipped, ready to cut through confusion.
"I'll make it simple. Think of it as a clone—a version of me. It will form a pool of chakra inside your body, allowing you to tap into that energy freely."
Bakugo- "Oh."
"Make it Quick!"
Nagato smiled.
-------Present-------
With a burst of blinding speed, Midoriya and Bakugo shot out of the crumbled building like bullets launched from a cannon.
Dust and debris whipped around them as they hurtled through the air, landing with thunderous impact on the training ground below.
The earth shuddered beneath their landing, sending another powerful shockwave rippling outward.
In a heartbeat, both warriors leapt back into the air—fists colliding in mid-flight with a force that rippled through the surrounding air.
Bakugo spinning and then kicked midoriya who caught the foot mid-attack ,then Bakugo said- "Deku, here's a gift for you!"
He hurled both of his gauntlets towards Midoriya who sensed the danger crossed his arms.
BOOOMM!
The impact sent shockwaves that momentarily disrupted the camera feed, distorting the live broadcast with flickering static and shaking visuals.
Midoriya was blasted to the ground but quickly rose and shot to the air towards Bakugo.
Bakugo's blazing arrays of explosions rose to meet Midoriya's crackling green aura, but even with his ferocious power, Bakugo was beginning to feel the weight of Midoriya's relentless offence.
Midoriya punches were hitting like a truck.
A rapid series of blows forced Bakugo backward until one particularly powerful punch sent him flying, slamming hard into the ground.
Yet Bakugo was no quitter.
Instinctively, he steadied himself against the cracked earth and sprang back to his feet with ferocious determination. The moment his eyes locked on Midoriya's charging form, a fierce smile curled his lips.
Midoriya zigzagged forward, anticipating Bakugo's next move with practiced precision, but as Bakugo dodged deftly to the side, the ground beneath Midoriya erupted in a mighty blast—a searing fiery explosion lashing at his landing zone.
This was Bakugo's one of the signature skill- Detonating Ground.
Amid the choking smoke, Midoriya's torn uniform fluttered in the gusts, scratches marking his skin where debris had grazed him.
Both combatants panted, muscles straining, sweat and dust mingling on their faces.
"Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!" Midoriya shouted, channeling his chakra into a massive swirling tornado of green energy that roared around him.
The whirlwind expanded rapidly, tearing across the field with the fury of a violent storm.
Bakugo snarled and braced as the green tornado pulled him inward, its violent suction threatening to overwhelm his explosives.
Midoriya knowing this wouldn't stop Bakugo.
Suddenly —the glowing green currents darkened, molten red streaks weaving through the vortex like veins beneath the surface.
With a deafening crack, a massive explosion shattered the tornado in midair, scattering remnants in a fiery flash.
The tornado vanished, and Midoriya's smirk reappeared—a fleeting mask of confidence as he readied himself for the final strike.
His arm pulsed, the green hue shifting to a deep sapphire interlaced with flickering red arcs, muscles tightening and swelling with power barely contained.
The air around him thrummed with energy, a beautiful and terrifying storm condensed into a single fist.
Bakugo, not to be outdone, launched into a continuous spin, firing powerful explosions from his gauntlets in rapid succession.
The blasts layered around him like a bullet barrage, propelling his body forward in a deadly dance.
With a wild scream, Bakugo charged toward Midoriya, a miniature black and red tornado swirling ahead of him—the charged atomised fury of his quirk condensed into a devastating weapon.
"Howitzer Impact!" Bakugo roared, unleashing the destructive cyclone directly at his opponent.
Midoriya bent his knees, summoning a gigantic glowing hologram arm of pure chakra around his charged fist—a towering colossus of emerald light crackling with power.
"BEYONDERS SMASHHH!" Midoriya shouted, driving his amplified punch with all his might into Bakugo's raging strike.
The collision detonated with a cataclysmic explosion, a mushroom cloud blossoming in brilliant shades of blue, black, and red.
The earth beneath trembled as shockwaves cascaded outward, shattering surrounding debris and momentarily blinding the spectators with its intensity.
When the smoke cleared, Midoriya lay embedded against the cracked concrete wall, unconscious and bleeding slightly from overexertion of his chakra reserves.
Bakugo himself was blasted away, marred by scrapes and dirt but still standing, rose with a victorious roar.
He too was exhausted and can't even take stand straight-
"I WON!" But he still shouted triumphantly, throwing his fist into the air.
Suddenly, a voice cut through the revelry.
"No, you lost."
Bakugo's smile froze, eyes narrowing as he spun in place, searching for the source of the interruption.
Till his gaze focused on a nearby sound-box with camera on the side of the building where Midoriya was blasted into.
"Nani?! How?!!" he demanded, voice edged with disbelief.
The voice spoke again, calm but firm.
"Bakugo-shounen. Your mission was to secure the nuclear bomb, but Sero found it and secured it. Therefore, Bakugo-shounen, you lost."
"But don't be disheartened! You did Great! Next time , Make sure you don't blast away the area!"
"And Now-"
"Team A: HEROES WIN."
