Cambridge H.A.S. Arena
Max and I are still fighting Mirage and Livestream but the illusions and drones make it impossible to reliably hit or sneak attack them.
"Furlion, get near me!" As Max and I stand back to back, I summon a giant vine to lift us up. Mirage and Livestream watch us as we go up.
"Clever!" Livestream Starts climbing up so I shift the vines to throw him off and Max uses a hair whip to lash at him, Livestream jumps from the vine to a tree nearby climbing it's branches and jumping back attempting to knock us off, which he almost does until Max uses his hair to support us.
"Quick! Get to a tree! I'll make a platform there"
He jumps and I follow, immediately covering the tree branches in vines, stems and stalks of plants making solid ground in the canopy. I look out and start chucking fire at them. Max stays close just in case.
"You gotta be kidding me, isn't this cheating?" Mirage is furious at our tactic.
"All's fair in love and war!" I say
"Damn you!"
"I guess I have to do that" I see Livestream's drones approaching glowing with a milky white light.
"You're using that technique? I thought you said you hadn't completed it yet?" Mirage asks
"I haven't but it's not or never, you should be honored, you're the first to experience my Egos new Self-Technique {Drone Dash}"
I widen my eyes. Self-Techniques are Skills/Spells/Abilities that Users can make based on their own Egos and only those with a similar Ego or capabilities can utilize or replicate them, they tend to be stronger than simply using your Ego as normal but they use up a lot more energy. My {Ignis Aloe Vera} can be counted as a Self-Technique since only I or others with those specific elements can use it, and it uses a lot of energy.
"Furlion dodge!" But it's too late, a heavy amount of energy accumulates on the three drones before they turn into streaks of light and push Max off of the tree, he's able to soften the landing by encasing himself in a hair cocoon.
When he comes out he's met with Livestream's punch and Mirage's illusions so I start chucking fire and light blasts at them again to help him.
"How annoying, hey Livestream! Blast him off already!"
"You think I can use it that often? I had to use all three just to push Furlion off!" He's in an all out brawl against Max as I keep Mirage distracted.

At the giant tree.
Bonnie's arm pieces successfully block the six blasts of energy but get destroyed in the process.
"What?!" Atlas, Avenger, Spellcaster and even Jacob are shocked they never thought she would sacrifice her arm like that.
"Anima- Bonnie what did you do!?"
Avenger doesn't let her go and fires a beam at her which she blocks with her other arm. He's about to strike again when a spinner goes flying at him and hits his lantern making a crack on it.
"AH! WHO?!" They turn to see Sarmon summon a spinner on his hand then throw it up in the air as he jumps and spins his body before kicking it with great force at the lantern. The spinner shoots like a bullet and directly breaks the lantern.
"Blergh" Avenger spits blood as with his Ego broken he's received a backlash and won't be able to summon it for a while. Sarmon doesn't give it up as he summons more spinners and starts throwing, punching and kicking them with force at the others.
Suddenly Bonnie starts to glow as blue lightning dances across her body. Her body transforms into a highly advanced animatronic, her remaining arm becoming made of sleek light-gray metal plates along with her upper body and left eye. She almost looks like a cyborg. This is her own Self-Technique {Overclock} it allows her to improve her Ego and strength to another level in exchange for most if not all her remaining energy.
An E.M.P. effect goes off in the area around her, it reaches the remains of her broken arm, they begin to turn into advanced sleek light-gray metal parts as they combine into six pieces then those six combine into one arm again. The arm then rockets back towards Bonnie as she reattaches it, and decides to rush toward Atlas Knocking him unconscious into a tree.
"[Attention... Participant... Atlas... Eliminated]"
Bonnie returns to normal as she also faints, exhausted from overdrawing on her energy.
"[Attention... Participant... Animatronica... Eliminated]"

"Not bad, although Livestream's Self-Technique isn't as impressive as Animatronica's it still looks useful, but it seems their energy usage for both of them could be improved a lot"
John Notes it down on their Record Sheets for future use. "I agree, the energy usage is just abysmal, an improvement over that is needed, but hey they can be good candidates right?" John grins widely and Richie just ignores him.
"We still need to see how it ends at the very least, and you know we can't take All of them, yes? We will only settle for the best seven since we only have that much space. And that's if seven of these ten even qualify"
"Fine by me." John points at one of the screens. "Looks like that battle is decided with their healer down, how do you think the rookie's side will fare?"
"I guess we will see"
