Father Edwards laughed from the side and added, "Though the intention is good, you shouldn't cut someone's braid and talk about it."
Hayes Edwards nodded, his voice muffled, "Got it."
Mother Winter smiled, "Anyway, we have to thank Hayes this time."
Father Winter also nodded, "We'll treat for today's dinner, as a thank you to Hayes."
For dinner, there was Grace Winter's favorite strawberry ice cream, with a big strawberry on top. She looked at it and then pushed it in front of Hayes.
The two kids sat side by side, eating children's meals.
Hayes sat very straight. Although it wasn't Western food they were eating, he still had a napkin around his neck, like a little gentleman.
"Hayes Edwards, eat this."
Hayes looked at the ice cream in front of him, clearly bitten by someone, and was quite disgusted, "No thanks."
"Why?" Grace tilted her head to look at him, her round eyes full of confusion.
To Grace, strawberry ice cream was the best-tasting thing in the world.
