Arnold Simmons chose a seat near the middle and toward the back. The surrounding seats were empty, and as the screen lit up, the entire theater fell silent.
Hannah watched intently, holding a large bucket of popcorn in her arms. Whenever the movie reached an exciting moment, she would gasp in amazement, just like a little kid.
Her mouth slightly agape, her eyes wide open, reflecting the images on the screen, as though all the innocence and wonder of a fairytale had been captured in her expression.
Arnold Simmons looked at her, unable to stop the smile forming on his lips. Even when he tore his gaze away, it would wander back to her within a minute.
He enjoyed watching her silly, happy expression far more than the movie itself.
She even forgot to chew the popcorn in her mouth, her entire focus glued to the screen.
Arnold Simmons reached over to pinch her soft-looking cheek and gently reminded her, "Your popcorn's about to fall."
